Sometimes you just have to wonder what Stephen King's search history is like. I mean, is he on any watch lists? Has he ever had any law enforcement turn up on his doorstep?
It has been a while since I have read a SK book, though I spent my entire teenage years reading nothing but his stories.
This felt like 80s/90s King, and I was left completely satisfied with dipping my toe back into his world.
As the story progressed, I was left wondering how the kids at "The Institute" were going to come out of it alive. Will they all die? Will it be a case of "the lunatics taking over the asylum?' Will good overcome evil?
I did feel that the ending was a bit lacking. I don't know, after all the build up, it just felt way to easy to me. I was hoping more would happen with the night knocker situation too. It felt flat - however this is probably just me.
Stephen King is now back to the top of my reading list, and I look forward to more in the future.

I was intrigued by the premise of Mr Nobody - the man with no memory? Let me at it to figure out what is going on.
However, I did find that there was too much other stuff going on as well, when I wanted to be focused on our man.
I switched between being really intrigued by this story, to moments of "what the heck is this all about?"
Whilst Emma's past has a part to play in the telling of this tale, I felt there was too much focus on is. He past and connections could have been summed up in a chapter or two and we could have gotten on with Mr Nobody's tale.
I did like the way his story came out, and I did kinda sorta get vibes of that Richard Gere/Edward Norton movie Primal Fear (am I letting my age show here?)
After the drawn out body of the book, the ending also felt rushed to me, and everything tied up too quickly.
But this could just be me.
I wanted to like this one more than I did.

5 WTF and Holy Shit stars!!!
Entice carries on where Elect finishes, so you really need to have read Elite and Elect first to understand all the things that are happening.
I think that this is the best of the Eagle Elect series so far - by a mile!! It is full of suspense, intrigue, murder and mystery.
Relationships are tested, loyalties are put to the test, friendships will be strained.
Seriously, from the word go I could not put this book down. Reading it is like watching a Jason Bourne movie!! You just never know which way the story is going to go next!
But OMG that prologue for Elicit that we got at the end!!!! WTF am I supposed to do with that! It's doing my head in!!!! Yes, lots of !!!!!
I can't wait to get my hands on Elicit!!

There are two places on the planet I never want to visit - the town/county of Midsomer, and Whisper Island - they both have a disproportionate number of murders!
Though at least on Whisper Island we have Maggie, Liam and Lenny looking out for us!
I really enjoyed this 6th installment in the Movie Club series.
I liked learning more about Maggie's sister -even if she was quite unlikable at times. The dynamic between them was interesting to say the least.
I am usually pretty cluey, and have a bit of an idea of whodunnit, however with this one I was very late to the game on even having an inkling of who it was, and I like that.
I have always liked Maggie's assistang Lenny, however in this installment, I felt that he really came into his own, and is still as amusing as every.
And Liam is still as wonderful as ever.
I look forward to more Whisper Island adventures

I love a best friends to more story. I love the history between the lovelies, the fighting of feelings, the worry about ruining things between them.
Add in one who has been in love with the other for years and one who never wants marriage and kids, and, and you have Piper and Harley's story.
This is a slow burn of a story. as Harley fights his way out of the friendzone. I did get frustrated with Piper a lot of the time, as she was so stubborn and pigheaded and at times just stupid imo.
But I loved her at the same time.
Harley is boyfriend goals from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. Piper girl, if you don't want him, send him my way.
Was great to see the couples from the first three books, and as always there are crossovers from other series (I need to print out a family/series tree to keep up).
I am looking forward to more in this series

Oh Jack, I never thought I could love you more than I did after reading Eversea - but I am happy to say that I was wrong!!
I loved the journey we were taken on with Jack and Keri Ann, every bump in the road every misunderstanding.
At times I wanted to scream at her for v being so of headed, but could also understand her misapprehension when it came to a relationship with b Jack.
I just wanted to drop kick Audrey one side of the planet to the other. Ugh such a bitch. I am glad she got what was due to get.
sigh.... I just want more

I have been reading M. Robinson since her very first release. Every time I receive a new book, I tell myself "this time she won't rip my heart to shreds."
And I was doing really well and then BAM - my heart hit the floor, just in time for her to stomp on it... again.
Cash and Journey's story is not an easy one to read. If you have read her Good Ol' Boys series, I felt this story was most like Austin and Briggs story.
I had a love/hate relationship with Cash. He was such a douche most of the time and I wanted to hate him for his actions, but my heart hurt for him as much as he was hurting in himself.
I don't want to give anything away about this tale, as I feel that you need to go in a little blind (I mean, you have to have read the first book, so not totally blind) and feel the raw, gritty, heartbreaking emotions.
And yes, Ms Robinson did get my tears, and I am sure she could hear me cussing her out from the opposite side of the world.
I hurt, I cried and hurled my Kindle across the room in frustration. And I loved every second of it.
Now I am waiting impatiently to have my heart destroyed again.

Welcome to Paradise. Leave your inhibitions at the door and have enjoy!
I have been looking forward to this Dirty Texas spinoff, and Ms Low has given us a sexy as hell story.
I adored Camryn in the DT books, and Nate was kind of hovering around the outskirts of that DT extended family, and I was keen to know if they would ever get together.
And boy, do they get together! They're need for a non-relationship is one that is full of spark, and you can feel the sexual tension leap off the page. Can anyone say proximity pheromones??
Now, this this is all on me, and not on the book. To me, there was just too much sexy times. I know, I know - this is never really a problem for me, so this is more about my state of mind when I was reading than the book.
I loved the story behind all the sexy times, and there were a couple of WTF moments. I knew something was going to happen with one particular character, but was shocked with how things played out.
I did enjoy reading, and Nate is all kinds of hot. I loved that Camryn got her happy ending - in more ways than one!
