paddlefoot55 's review for:
Til the Last Lyric
by M. Robinson
ARC received for an honest review
I have been reading M. Robinson since her very first release. Every time I receive a new book, I tell myself "this time she won't rip my heart to shreds."
And I was doing really well and then BAM - my heart hit the floor, just in time for her to stomp on it... again.
Cash and Journey's story is not an easy one to read. If you have read her Good Ol' Boys series, I felt this story was most like Austin and Briggs story.
I had a love/hate relationship with Cash. He was such a douche most of the time and I wanted to hate him for his actions, but my heart hurt for him as much as he was hurting in himself.
I don't want to give anything away about this tale, as I feel that you need to go in a little blind (I mean, you have to have read the first book, so not totally blind) and feel the raw, gritty, heartbreaking emotions.
And yes, Ms Robinson did get my tears, and I am sure she could hear me cussing her out from the opposite side of the world.
I hurt, I cried and hurled my Kindle across the room in frustration. And I loved every second of it.
Now I am waiting impatiently to have my heart destroyed again.
