This cover! It is giving me all the Kelly Slater vibes. Can't stop looking at his eyes...

Oh yeah, Bailey's story haha

You will need to have read Confessions: Henri as Bailey starts off the morning after the night before.

I just adore these two. So wrong for each other on paper, but so right for each other, even if they are both fighting their own demons. I think they certainly were MFEO - and made to make my heart skip a beat.

Their story is beautiful, funny, sexy and a little bit heart breaking too. And I must say, I will never look at a set of stairs the same way ever again hahahah.

I just adored everything about this book. I loved seeing snippets of my favourite threesome and my Robbie always makes me smile.

I am hoping there is more to come in the future *cough cough Sean and Zander cough cough*

Thank you Ms Frank for more wonderful, unavailable men for me to adore.

It was fun to be back bayside, this time with Tegan and Jett.

It is like catching up with family when I read a Melissa Foster book. I have been reading them for a few years now, and they have become like extended family to me.

However, with all the cross overs with people from different series, I cannot be the only one who needs a chart on the wall to remember who is whom?

Whilst I adore Jett and Tegan, I did feel that, to me, their story dragged. It felt sooo slow to me, and I did find myself skim reading, particularly in the second half. There was a lot of back and forward with trips and things, and their story didn't feel like it was going anywhere for a long time.

But this could just be me.

I haven't read all of the Bayside Summers books, however i did like getting a bit more of the people I have met in previous reads.

I know it sounds like I didn't like this book, but I did. I just wasn't as drawn into it as other books in the series that I have read.

I do look forward to coming back to the Cape again in the future.

Audible review

I enjoyed the fairytale-esque story of Ben and Leo.

Enjoyed the Monaco setting.

However my problem was with the narration (sorry narrator). He told the story well but accents are not his thing.

It wasn't until thecstory told us Ben was Australian that I had any idea what the accent was. Maybe it is because I am Australian that it grated on my ear?

Ms Fernando is one of the few MC genre authors that I still read, and I am never disappointed

Temper and Abbie's story is one of long time crushes, and of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But the consequences are more than either of them could ask for.

Temper is all kinds of lolvely, and you can't help but fall for him along with Abbie.

I loved getting back into the clubhouse, loved getting more of Saint and Rennie and their lovely ladies, and I can't wait for more of the series.

Woohoo another Vi Keeland novel has hit my kindle! Happy dance!

And what is it with Vi's hot AF covers. I mean, hellloooo #backporn!

This is my second older-woman-hot-younger-man book I have finished this week. Gives all us old ducks a bit of hope lol. It's all "How Valentina got her groove back"

Ford and Valentina's story is fun, flirty and sexy. There are also a few sad moments thrown in too.

Now, this book was not good for my diet, as every time I read about Montauk, I think of all the Montauk Bake Shoppe and all it's delicious goodies that I keep hearing about lol

All Grown Up is one of those books that I adored from the first word to the last. I didn't want to put this one down, staying up way too late and getting up early, just so I could fit another chapter in.

Thank you Vi Keeland for giving us Ford... oh, and Valentina!

Oooy, for the first time ever, I contemplated DNFing a Kristy Bromberg book, and that hurt my heart.

I enjoyed the prologue and was looking forward to where Tate's story was going to go.

And then we had the first 1/3 of the book, that was so repetitive and drawn out that it could have been all done in a couple of chapeters. It was at this stage that I first thought of giving up.

I put it aside, but it then took me more than a day to pick up the book again, as I knew I was going to struggle. However, I persevered, and it did get better.

I wanted to love Tate and Jack, but there just was not enough to get me there. Tate came across as whiney and stubborn, and ugh boy does she overreact. And all Jack's goodness and leading-man-ness got lost in all the overreactions and superfluous words.

Once the story got going, it fell into a state of predictability. I knew where the story was going to go well before it got there, and that also took out the enjoyment of the story. And got me to the eye rolling stage.

I did finish reading this one, but only just.

Ms Cherry has done it again with Southern Storms..

Long lost friendships, full of heartaches and tragedies, I could help but be fully engrossed in Kennedy and Jax's story.

The grumpy guy and the heartbroken girl who find love when they are least expecting it

The small town vibe, with everyone knowing everyones elses business resonated with me, and I could put local names from my town to the characters in this book (you know who you are, people!). I wanted to laugh, I wanted to cry, I wanted to slap the crap out of some obnoxious people.

But mostly I wanted our lovelies to fall in love.

There are great secondary characterss - we all need a Joy and a Connor in our lives. I am hoping we get more of Connor later in the series.

This book does give of vibes of earlier Brittainy C Cherry books, but that's no a bad thing to me.

I am looking forward to where this series takes us.

Five years ago, I read a book that still haunts me to this day. That book was Always by Kindle Alexander. That book had me an emotional wreck from the prologue, and had tears in my eyes every time I thought about it for weeks afterwards.

I thought I was happy with where the story left us, however when I saw that this duo was giving us Robert Adams story (the son of Kane and Avery from Always), my heart jumped in my chest.

I never thought I needed his story, but I was wrong. So, so, wrong.

I did well with this story - I got to 13% before I bawled my eyes out this time!

KA takes us on an emotional journey, where split decisions in life bring Robert and Landon together. Their story is relatable, the hurdles they need to overcome are things that we could come across in our lives.

Our lovelies connecstion is soul deep, and as Robert remembers his daddy's words, I was again thrown into an emotional spiral, and had to put the kindle aside to grab the tissued). How, 5 years down the track, can that book still affect me?

If you don't absolutely fall in love with Nonnie, I maintain that you don't have a heart lol.

It is a day later, and I am still smiling as I write this review, thinking of Robert, Landon and Autmn and Nonnie. Big, goofy smiles.

If you haven't read Always, now is the time to jump to it and read it, then get right onto reading Forever. You won't be disappointed

Natasha Lester has done it again with The Paris Secret.

I am loving Australian historical stories at the moment, and Ms Lester's are books that I will always pick up and read.

She weaves a wonderful story of strong women during war time, family secrets and loves that last a lifetime.

Skye's story is one of a woman breaking stereotypes and chasing after the life and career she wants. I cheered as she took each step up to her true calling.

The story is told in the time of WW2 and current times. Many tales are interweaved to bring us to a conclusion that I was not completely expecting. I had an idea that something was up, but was not expecting things to go where they did.

I adored the Christian Dior aspect of the story. I found myself reading with one hand, and googling images of dresses mentioned with the other.

A beautifully written story, full of tragedy as well as love and hope. I was completely drawn into the life of Skye, and days later I am still thinking about her story.

I cannot wait for Ms Lester's next wonderful story.

Australian historical fiction is a genre that I have been reading a lot more of the past year. I have read a lot more more WW2 stories than WW1, so this was a bit different for me.

I was drawn right into No Small Shame. From Scotland to Australia, this sweeping story of love and loss, head and heart had me diving for my book each lunch break, and making me want to have just a couple of minutes more before I headed back to my desk.

Mary and Liam's story is one that has been played out for centuries. Boy meets girl, meets "unfortunate situation". It's just what they do in that situation is where this story goes.

Mary had my heart from our very first meeting. She is a warrior. She is strong and defiant. She fights for herself even when those around her want her to toe the womanly line. She is trapped by circumstance and the time in history, yet she does not keep her down.

Her journey of self awareness and personal growth had me cheering on each endeavour.

My heart hurt, my heart soared, and I was left thinking about the amazing women who paved the way for women today.
