I am always excited when a new Vi/Penelope book hits my Kindle.
I adore their collaborations, and Park Avenue Player is no different.
The guy falling for the nanny is not a new situation in bookworld, however this pair made it feel fresh.
Our lovelies Elodie and Hollis get off to a rough start, and you could feel the tension and sparks between them from the get go. As much as they "hate" each other, they like each other, and they play off that sexual energy around them.
However, theirs is not always the happiest of tales, they have crap in their pasts that is stopping them from living their best lives.
Their charge, a 30 year old woman in a tween's body, is just fabulous. She is smart and funny and fun, and is the connection between our guys that will bring them together.
As with every Vi/Penelopy book, at about 80%, the "thing happens". If you have read their books, you will know what it is all about. However this time it was something completely different, something that really took me by surprise, and I may have shed a tear or two this time, instead of throwing my Kindle across the room.
There was a wonderful cameo by my favourite goat in this book too!
I look forward to their next collaboration, Dirty Letters, coming our way soon.

Thank you Allen and Unwin Australia for my advanced copy.
Now, I am not a huge Ru-Ro reader (I live in the country, I don't need to read about it) however the books that I have read of Ms Lane’s I have enjoyed.
I have not read the first two books in the Callahan series, however this did not affect my reading or enjoyment of book 3 at all.
I was completely drawn into this story from the first page. We have all, at sometime in our lives, gone home with our head hung low. And there is no shame in it. I have been in that position, and I bet you have too.
And besides, who says you can’t go home?
I was mad – so, so mad at what people had done to her. Seriously, what is wrong with people. I may have yelled at the book as I was reading, telling Hadley to say “screw it” to everyone else, and speak out. I understand why she didn’t but gees I had such a visceral reaction to things lol. Especially Mitch the douche… and a douchess.
I love that this story doesn’t just touch on love. It deals with an issue that touches each and every one of us at some time – suicide. It has touched my small town in just the past week. It is getting more and more prevalent in the country, where the drought is the worst ever.
I love the way the community in the book don’t just ignore it. Thanks you Ms Lane for writing about it.
It was wonderful to see Ollie and Hadley get through the hard days, and going from friends to more.
I still hated some people by the end of the book – more than when it started hahah . Some people are just not redeemable.
Most importantly though – remember that you are not alone. Help is always a phone call, a Facebook chat, a friend away

I jumped for joy - I hadfinally been approved for an Alexis Hall ARC.
Now, I am new to the Kate Kane series, jumped into book 3 without reading the first two, so it did take me a little while to get into the rhythm of the book.
Once I was there, I really had a fun old time reading and I just adored Kate and her friends. I love the banter, the fight scenes were wonderfully executed.
Now, because I haven't read the previous books, I was a bit confuzzled with whom was who and what was what, but that didn't at all take away from my involvement in the story.
I loved the way all the different "beings" saw relationships, and how they all intermingled and got on.
Now I find myself needing more, and having to go back and read the first 2 books.

It is always a good day when a new Kim Karr story turns up on your kindle.
It has been ages since I have delved into the world of the royal families of the Vespa Isles, so I have completely forgotten most of everything that has happened - though I did remember the gambling storyline that has followed through all the stories so far.
Julius and Lia's story is flirty and sexy - but with some anger and hurt and fighting thrown in. This is to be expected with a second chance romance - I mean, they broke up for a reason, right. And - fighting is foreplay, right? Angry sex is just grrrr hot!
I adore our lovelies trying to fight what the reader can see - that they are meant to be, no matter what.
I liked the storyline of how they came to be together. And I LOVE Julius' grandma - the Queen - playing Cupid.
Cute and enjoyable read. I hope we get more!

Wow, just wow.
That is all I can say about this book. Buy it and read it, that is all!
As with all of Ms Cherry's books, it is an emotional, 2-box-of-tissues read. I know every time I start a Brittany C Cherry book that this is what I should expect, and every time I am blown away with how emotional the story is.
Now, I adored Eleanor from the start, however her love of all things Harry Potter moved her up a few steps from adored to absolutely freaking loved her. From this Gryffindor to that wonderful Hufflepuff - you rock!
This is a beautiful, heartbreaking second chance story that will have you riding that that emotional rollercoaster from start to finish.
Our lovelies are both flawed and emotionally destroyed, however it was wonderful to see them find each other, hold each other, repair each other.
Gah, seriously, I just loved this book.

Welcome to another installment of the Jameson Force series.
I have been intrigued by Bebe Grimshaw throughout the Jameson Force series to date. We know bit of her past, but now we get the whole story.
I have SOOO much respect for this character. She is strong, resilient and has so much gumption. I couldn't help but want her to be free of her past.
Griffin is sweet and wonderful - even when he is sent to kill our Bebe. You can feel how torn he is from the start and you know that isn't what he is. It takes a while to find out who he is, and I was half made, half relieved with how the story played out.
I adore, adore, adore Bebe's boy Aaron. So wise beyond his years.
We are taken on one heck of a ride with Code Name: Hacker, and left with one wild set up for the next installment.
I. Can't. Wait.

Now, I don't know why, but when I read this series originally, I seem to have missed Jonathon and Sandra's story, so it was wonderful to dive into their story afresh.
Ms Anderson has given us a lovely slow burn of a story with Star.
From earlier books, I wasn't particularly a fan of Jonathon - let's face it, he's a bit of a douche, however as the story progressed, he revealed so many more layers. He's like parfait - and everyone loves parfait!
We are thrown a few twists and turns and surprises in this story - some things I really, really was not expecting!
Another wonderful story in this series, and a great set up for the next book. Bring it on Ms Anderson!

Like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally... yes, yes ,YES we are back in Vermont and the Shipley family.
Little Dylan Shipley is all grown up, and boy oh boy has he grown up!
Chastity is finally living life after escaping the cult, and I loved being along with her as she is finally living her life. And that living includes wanting Dylan - oh, so bad!
I had a love hate relationship with Dylan in this story. I loved how he cared for Chastity, I loved how he looked out for her, however I hated how he made her feel a lot of the time. He might not have wanted to act like a d!ck to her, but he did do it and it hurt my heart along with Chastity's.
It was wonderful to get back to the Shipley farm and all the people who now live and work there.
And oh my, did I freaking LOVE Dylan's roommate. I am hoping that his is the next story in the series.
I did find that Heartland was a lot more emotional to me than the previous books in the series. I found myself reading through tears a couple of times as things happened.
I never want this series to end, and I can't wait for more.
