Helloooo hot cover guy. I am not really one to bother with covers, however the orange makes this one stand out. And what is it with Penelope Ward (and her collabs with Vi Keeland) and their covers that are always so lickable?
The premise of this story is nothing new - rich boy/not rich girl/works for him scenario. We have read about this a thousand times already. However this did not stop me enjoying The Day He Came Back.
I just wished that there was more of when he came back, and not so much of way back then. Don't get me wrong, we needed the then, however maybe not so much? This is probably just a me thing though.
I have a bit of a love/hate relationship going on with our guy Gavin. I don't know, most of the time I adored him, but other times I wanted to shank him lol.
Good on Raven for doing things she does throughout.
This book had me longing, had my frustrated and annoyed, and a couple of tears may have been shed.
However, there is this "thing" that always happens in a Penelope Ward book. I was reading along, thinking "please don't do that thing" and then BAM, there is was. The dreaded "thing". It is predictable that this is going to happen and we don't need it!
Let's hope the next book it isn't there lol

I have devoured each Kelly Rimmer book that I have read so far, and the same can be said for Truths I Never Told You.
As with all her books, Ms Rimmer delves into some deeper and darker corners of families, histories and more
I felt a connection to Beth/Grace and this book from the beginning. That connection was through the depression that they both suffered throughout their lives.
Ms Rimmer, I felt, deals with depression very well. As a person who has dealt with depression for the last 15 years, it can be hard to bring those feelings across in a book, however I did feel them.
I will admit though, that I did skim through the bits written in the past at the beginning of the book, but just for the first say 80 pages or so. Not sure why I couldn't concentrate on those parts - just my mindset at the time I guess.
I also didn't particularly always like our leading lady Beth. That doesn't mean I couldn't understand her and what she was going through, she just grated on me at times. I more liked her sister Ruth most of the time lol.
Beautifully written, this is a story that will have readers flicking the pages to know what is going to happen next.

Firstly - I love the cover. I don't usually even bother with the covers, however I love Pen's covers - sooo much. They are very lickable.
Now, I am an old fart, and I don't go much for the NA genre these days, however I know that Penelope Ward will not do me wrong. Ever.
And I was right.
Teagan and Caleb's story is kind of a lot of sitting around the house and talking, but oh so much as well. Lots of D & M's, with flirtage and sparkage thrown in.
I laughed out loud at the meet-cute, then my heart ached for both our lovelies as their stories were revealed, and was left with a big ol' smile on my dial. There isn't any OTT angst (which I can find quite tiresome), just a lovely, heartfelt story.
One of my favourite Penelope Ward reads to date.

I feel the need... the need to speed read Danger Zone.
This book has a very Top Gun vibe. Very Maverick and IceMan vibe between Panther and Solo. I had to get the image of Tom Cruise

Woot! Another Sawyer Bennett hockey hottie to add to my collection!
Though this time it is team owner Dominik Carlson who is after my hockey loving heart.
I have been wanting his story almost as much as I wanted Tacker Hall's - and I wanted Tacker's book a lot.
I knew Dominik and Willow's story was going to be a fun one.
If you have read the previous books, especially Tacker you would know that Dominik has been chasing Willow Monahan - Dax's sister - for a while, and it has been fun seeing him try and striking out.
I adore Willow. Strong and independant and takes no crap from anybody. I want to be her friend.
There is a delicious push/pull between our lovelies - Dominik wants to pull her closer, Willow keeps pushing him away. You know that things are going to be explosive if they ever get together
Do they ever get there? You will have to read to find out!
I loved seeing more of the Vengeance guys and their lovely ladies, and it was sweet to see a little of the Cold Fury - I miss them all!
Now I need Wylde's story, stat.

Audible review
I have missed diving into a Lauren Blakely story, so it was good to get back to it with Instant Attraction.
I liked the multiple storylines, with the multiple narrators (even when there is a narrator I am not usually a fan of involved - sorry) and liked the different ways the stories came across. We get three stories rolled into one with this audio.
I haven't read to Instant Gratification, which I am looking forward to reading soon - I need more of Jason and Truly's story.

Quick, sexy Valentine's Read that has a bit of everything, thrown into 60 pages!
Ben and Rosie's relationship is balls to the wall from the first word to the last. Everything is a warp speed, but you can't help adoring our lovelies.
