As I have been reading the First Wives series, Sasha has always been the one that I have needed to know more about. She lives on the outskirts of the "First Wivers" and their families, kind of on the outside looking in, but that is the way likes it... or is it.

She is such a badar$e, you just never know what she is going to get up to next. I loved learning more about her past and how she got to be the woman she is today. And she's the kind of woman we all want to be (at least in our minds). I got a kind of Black Widow vibe from her (but that could just all about the black).

I liked seeing the softer side of Sasha come out too. No woman is an island, and seeing her realise that she is loved was wonderful yet heartbreaking at the same time.

It is probably because of the kind of woman that Sasha is, that I did not feel as connected to her as I have with the other ladies in the series. However I think that is also the way Ms Bybee wants it to be, keeping us all at arms length.

It is always sad when a series comes to an end, however it leaves us open to all the possibilities of what will come next.

I can't wait to see what Ms Bybee brings us next.

What can I say - I have missed CJ Duggan's stories, and she has come out of the blocks with another wonderful story.

We have all had a crush on a rock star. Hoped to meet them and have them fall in love with us - then we wake up!

Sadie gets that chance when a washed up rock star starts living and working on her property.

I loved that she did not bow down to the all mighty Nathaniel Black. She's not going to fall into his bed like a groupie, she gives him hell - and it is the best medicine for him I think.

But more than anything - there is a bigger character in this story than Nathaniel or Sadie that I just loved and want one of my own - but I don't want to give away who/what it was.

I live in a small town, so I get the small town jerks, the prejudices that people are confronted with, the politics at play. I completely got that vibe from this town too. And wanted to kick people in the nuts haha!.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Beyond Here Lies Nothing. I loved that yes, there were issues, but they were dealt with like adults and there was not too much angst.

This is different from what I have read by CJ Duggan in the past, and I hope we get more like it in the future.

This is my first Jewel E Ann book - I know, I know, I have been living under a rock!

And what a perfectly adorable story this is!

You can't help but love Dorothy and Eli right from the start.

Lovely Dorothy is not our usual heroine - and I love her even more for it. See, she is on the spectrum, and doesn't see the world the same as you or me.

I love her candidness. I have family and friends on the spectrum, and I could see parts of each of them in Dorothy's character.

It was cute the way Dorothy, Eli and their family were forging a relationship. I was not a big fan of the last 15% where the ex started playing with them. I may have shed a tear though with Dorothy and the way it affected her.

But this could have just been me.

PS - I am loving all these illustrated covers that are out there these days - it is a great change from the abs we have seen for years!

I have enjoyed the previous books in The Wedding Date series, and I was really looking forward to this jaunt across the seas, however, it did fall flat for me.

I did like that our leading couple were an older couple (it is getting harder and harder to get into a lot of these NA/college aged books as I am getting older). I did like the holiday fling aspect of the story, but once it moved from there, it just lost some of it's magic for me. I think we had to suspend way too much of our belief in this story than the previous Jasmine Guillory stories, and it takes you right out of things.

I am sure plenty of others will absolutely love everything about this book, but this one and I were not a great fit.

For me, it is never too early to be reading Christmas books. And when it is an installment in a favourite series, well, let me at it!

You do not have to have read the previous books in this series, but that being said, you really don't want to miss out on the goodness.

I have enjoyed the times I have spent in Harmony Harbor, and this installment is no exception.

When Scrooge comes to destroy the livelihood of Harmony Harbor's Christmas angel, well you know that sparks are going to fly - but will the be from anger or from attraction?

It was great seeing characters from the other books make an appearance, and there is a character that has been a big part of the story - well, let me just say I liked where their story went in this book.

I read this book in one afternoon, and now I am waiting for what Ms Mason brings us next.

Now, I don't know how it happened, but I have somehow missed the first 2 book in the Road To Love series, however this did not affect my enjoyment of All Fired Up.

I adored and felt so much for Mitch as he starts to overcome the horrible childhood he had, finds family and love where he least expects it.

His story is very emotional, and had me hooked from the first page to the last. I adored the way Charlotte and the others welcomed him with open arms, brought him into the family and just loved him.

There were some issues, however my favourite thing was that they weren't over the top, there wasn't stupid misunderstanding or miscommunications, and they all acted like adults.

I loved the brothers and now I need to go back and read their books.

I can't wait to see what Ms Foster brings us next.

This was my first RJ Scott read, and I did enjoy it in all its predictability. There was nothing really new about the story, but it was likeable and sweet all the same.

Asher was a bit unlikable the way he pushed everyone away. I got why, but right up to the last chapter, Sean was trying to fight his way into Ash's heart and his life.

I did like the other guys in this story, Eric and Leo (but Leo, the Law enforcement officer LEO?) and will be reading their stories too.

Light and fluffy, just what I needed after some tougher reads.

Another super cute story from Helena Hunting. I have missed being in her hockey world, and this was a great way to get back.

Lainey and RJ's story is full of attraction, dripping with lust - and halted by lies.

I didn't even read the blurb before I started reading this one - didn't need to lol. However, if you do read the blurb, you could have a pretty good guess at what one of the lies is. Or like me, you will guess some of it as you are reading along. However that did not take away anything from my enjoyment.

Their story is a wonderful second-chance romance, with a few hurdles along the way. There was a bit of drama for drama's sake, however nothing was really OTT.

Were they lies? Were they lies of omission? Does it really matter at the end of the day. Someone gets hurt either way. It is the way that the hurt is dealt with that matters, right?

I liked that when things get found out, there was some serious grovelling, and our guy shows the man he really is, not what the world shows him as.

I loved seeing the Pucked boys and their families - Vi is still as funny AF as she every was, and I love every scene she is in.

I did miss the actually hockey in this one though - but that is just me!

I am really looking forward to the next book now.

Run out and grab yourself a copy of A Lie for A Lie - RJ is worth it!

It doesn't matter how far you run, your past will always catch up with you, as Callisto is about to find out.

Living a life of pain and anger, Finn finds the person he never knew he needed to help win his fight of revenge over the family who killed his father.

Full of heartache, angst and a spark of lust, The Golden Hour is one of those stories that will have you wanting to hug our lovelies one minute, and throw you reader across the room the next.

I liked the way Finn and Callisto's lives have intertwined without them knowing, and in the end neither of them know who the real evil was.

I gotta say, I got a smile out of the rich, arrogant and oh so not untouchable families got taken down

And then it came... plot twist

I sooooo was not seeing that coming!

Ms Halloran has taken on one rollercoaster of a ride with The Golden Hour, and I can't wait to see where she takes us next.
