Now I am not sure if it is because I read these out of order (no idea how I went from book 2 to book 5), however Tyree's story was the one I wanted to know about, however for me it just lacked something.
I didn't really connect with any of the characters. I could understand Tyree's hesitance getting back together with the one that got away, however I just didn't get the stuff with Eva and Elena.
I wanted more emotions, I wanted snark, I wanted yelling matches, I just wanted more feeling from everyone. However this could just be me.
The narration for this book was much better to me than for book 2 - I had a terrible time with the accents in book 2.
I will be going back and reading books 3 and 4 to catch up on everything.I have missed, and look forward to Noah Michael Levine's narrations.

I was intrigued by the blurb of Those People. It kind of reminded me of when I did the big tree change from the city out into a small country town - being the blow in into town can be just like when Darren Booth moves into Lowland Way.
Oh. My. God. Everyone (except for the victims of the crime) are horrible. There was not one redeeming characteristic in any of them.
I have never read a book where I hated every single person.
I didn't find any growth in any character. They were all narcissistic, shallow, and really just horrible people. If I moved into their street, I would be putting my house on the market quicker than you could say "eff the lot of you. It was kind of like Wisteria Lane - without the likability.
I wanted to like this story, but in the end I just couldn't. I wanted to up the body count and have them all done in, with Booth the last men standing! They were the only reason that I kept up with this one and did not give up completely.
This one was really not one for me, but I am sure fans of Ms Candlish will enjoy it.

My first feelings as I finished reading this book - Pretty Woman just got dark and kinky!
Ari and Valentine could not be more different if they tried, however that does not halt the attraction between them. Oy, the spark between them never dies, from the first minute they meet, right through the book.
Ari, Ari, Ari - a day after finishing, I still can't decide what my feelings are for you. Do I love you? Do I loathe you? Do I want to stick a fork in your eye and yell at you for your actions?
Valentine, oh my heart felt for her. I could feel her hurt, her frustrations, and don't blame her for her big eff yous to people.
She is strong, capable woman who doesn't need anybody's help - though I love that she isn't too stubborn to take it when it is offered - even if offered in a roundabout way. Go Val!
I found this to be a gripping story, and as much as some characters frustrated the heck out of me, I needed to know where the next page would take us.
Now, I will advise that we do get cliffied, however that doesn't bother me as it seems to a lot of others!
I can't wait to see where this series takes us.

From the snippets of Torian I have seen in Hunter and Decker, I knew that Cole Torian's story was going to be an intriguing one.
I wasn't sure where this story was going to take us, and I was pleasantly surprised with what was happening (though, with what is happening, I don't think pleasantly is the right word to be using).
Torian and Anissa's story is gritty and full of twists and turns. I wasn't a big fan of Anissa at first - I can't put my finger on exactly what it was, but she did not endear herself to me. However, as the story progressed I warmed up to her a lot more, and by the end of the book I did like her.
Cole - now, I am pretty sure we are supposed to have a love/hate relationship with him, however I didn't go much on the hate side lol. Things he does are not always the best, however as a person I liked him from the get go. He gets under your skin - and I for one did not want him to get out.
This story had my heart hurting, followed by smiling, with a bit of gut wrenching in between. I just never knew what emotion I would be feeling from chapter to chapter.
It was great to see Hunt and Decker and their ladies for bits and pieces, and it made me realise how much I needed more of them.
A day later and I am still all "what the hell Summers!" after that ending, and I do hope it means we will get more in the future.
Pretty please with a cherry on top? I will send vodka!

Oy, this is a hard one to write.
For the first time ever, I didn't completely love a Lauren Blakely book.
Don't get me wrong, I liked it, I just didn't love it.
It could just be the head space I was in, having a stupid head cold and everything was just blegh, but I know that this is an anomoly.
The first 20% of the book, to me, I just couldn't get in to. This never happens with me and LB. I did get into it after that point.
However, to me, nothing really happened. I didn't really get into the Malone and Sloane thing - I was more interested in his sister Truly and what was going to happen with her story later on.
Ugh, I know this makes it sound like the book was horrible and that I hated it, but that is not it at all.
Take these as the ramblings of someone who can't breathe properly at the moment!
I know this is going to be just a case of it's me, not the book. I will go back and read this book later on and I am sure I will like it better.
I am really looking forward to the next book.

I have adored the Cherrie Lynn books I have read in the past (I mean, hellllooooo Ghost!) and I was intrigued by the hacker aspect of Deadlock, so it wasn't a hard decision to make to request Deadlock.
And whilst I liked this story, I didn't love it. I had trouble connecting with the characters, and mostly found them annoying and not really likable.
To me, Jace was just a d!ck, Lena a b!tch and Lindsey, whilst completely capable, a bit of a door mat to her sister - have I said how much of a b!tch I thought she was. But this could just be me.
I was intrigued by the hacker elements of the story - I am so tech stupid most of it flew right over my head.
So, whilst I didn't love Deadlock, I did like it enough that I will read more of the series in the future.

I love love love the Brooklyn Bruisers series, and I was absolutely thrilled to get an early copy of Superfan.
If you have read the previous books in this series, you will remeber Silas and how all the other Bruisers guys tease our goalie mercilessly about being Delilah Spark's superfan
But boy was there more to that story than we knew - I was delightfully surprised as to how their story began.
Silas and Delilah's story is at times fun and flirty, and at times sad and a little heartbreaking. Both have moved onwards and upwards in their careers, however neither have been really fulfilled emotionally.
I loved getting more of those Brooklyn guys and their gals, and I love how they have become more of a family than blood.
I laughed out loud at times, particularly with the Bruisers family - oh how I love them all.
There were characters that I was unsure of for a while, who I was not sure if I should trust or not. Oh, and there were also some that I didn't just hate - I loved hating them, and they deserved every sh!t thing that was tossed their way haha
The things that I like about series about hockey players - there are always trades, there are always retirements, there are always changes in the team. And that means that Ms Bowen has to keep writing these books to infinity and beyond for me - yay!!!
I can't wait to see where we are taken next.

I am pretty much over the MC genre, however there are 2 authors that I will still read their MC books as they are released - and Chantal Fernando is one of them.
This is the first of the Knights of Fury MC series, and one that I am going to enjoy as much as the previous series.
Skylar and Saint's story is full of love, heartache, and a healthy dose of batsh!t craziness! Oy, there are some people in this book who need to take a good, hard look at themselves and their actions!
I love that we see the softer side of the bikers, not just the violence and bloodshed that can come with them. I loved watching Sky and Saint fall in love, go through the trial and tribulations that come with it.
There are a few characters that I really need to read their stories, and I hope that I don't have to wait too long to get more.
