This book is an exquisite work of art. Right from the beginning I was dragged into Gideon and Deirdre's world, and I didn't want to leave.

I was swept away by this dark, sensual story. I couldn't wait to turn each page and find out what was happening next. Gideon is one of those characters that you kind of want to hate, but he worms his way into your heart and you can't help but adore him.

I love that Deirdre is force of nature, and doesn't let Gideon walk all over here

They are the light to each others dark, and you can see them opening up to each other.

Until we are cliffied - however it was to be expected since this is a duet.

We don't have long until the next installment, and I will be diving right in as soon as it is available.

It is always a great day when a new Helena Hunting book arrives on your kindle.

From the cover and the blurb, I was expecting a fun and flirty rom-com. However what we got with Meet Cute was not so much com.

Kailyn and Dax's story was more emotional than I was expecting. I won't lie, my heart hurt for them as their stories evolved.

And through it all, I couldn't help but want, no need our lovelies to be together.

And then they go and do stupid stuff, like not talking about stuff and try to ruin everything - people, talk to each other!!

I am a sucker for a enemies-to-lovers story, and it was no exception with this story. The dynamic between our lovelies flits between hate and love, and as times I wasn't sure which way the story wanted to go.

I did find that the bad guy was pretty easy to pick out, and their schemes at times felt a bit cartoonish - I could picture them in the corner, twirling their moustache and giving an evil laugh.

So though I liked Meet Cute, I just felt that it felt a little short for me. I guess that is probably because I was expecting the rom-com, and whilst we got the rom, the com was not there for me.

Ms Johnson, you had me at Scot!

Not going to lie, I am a bit of sucker for a story with a Scotsman, so it was a no brainer to read Getting Hot With The Scot.

Logan and Cassie's story is fun and flirty - though at times I wanted to knock some sense into both Logan and Cassie - and FFS people, talk to each other! It is one of my pet peeves, when there are stupid separations because the characters don't talk to each other - but that is prob just me.

I enjoyed the travelling aspect of the story, and the friendships between Cassie and her girls.

There is a bit of set up for the next book in the series, and lucky for me it is waiting on my kindle for me to dive right in.

I very much enjoyed Kelly Rimmer's book Before I Let You Go, so I was intrigued to read The Things We Cannot Say.

What a hauntingly beautiful and emotional read it was for me.

The past and present are wonderfully woven together as we learn Alina's story, from occupied Poland in 1942 to the present.

So much bravery. So much resilience, so much rebellion and resistance.

Ms Rimmer had me completely drawn into the story, I could feel the hunger and fear of Alina, Tomasz in Poland, I have been reading more stories set in this time period lately, and I have never felt the emotion in them that I felt with The Things We Cannot Say.

I admit that it was a very emotional read for me. I swear I read the last 50 pages through my tears, as the story came to it's climax. So have your tissues ready!

It has been a couple of days since I finished this book, and I am still thinking about it, which is a sign of a wonderful story to me.

Beautiful and heartbreaking, this is going to be one of my favourite reads of 2019.

I can't wait to see what Ms Rimmer brings us next.

I have read a few stories in the past year or so where there were accidents, comas etc, however While I Was Away was amazing in a completely different way to what I have read in the past.

I don't know how to put into words what I have felt reading this book. I had more than a few WTF moments as I was reading, and there might have been a few "what are you doing to them"s thrown the author's way too.

I felt like I was being swept away in a dream with our lovelies as the story progressed. It is a little bit different, at times you feel like it is completely unbelievable, but then the story drags you right back in and you can't help but believe the dream with our lovelies.

I am a bit envious of Adele and Jones - I mean, they find their soulmates while they are sleeping = I can't find mine wide awake lol.

There is a great cast of characters, I especially loved Adele's brothers and her best friend.

My heart hurt, and nearly completely broke at times as this story came full circle.

Ms Fantome has knocked this one right out of the park. Now I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

You need to have read Sweet Liar before diving into Sweet Fate.

Dylan and Audrey's story is all about fate, kismet, destiny - whatever you like to call it.

It took me a minute to remember how the first book ended, however once I remembered where I was at, it was a goer!

I didn't think I could like a book more than I did Sweet Liar, however Sweet Fate took things to a whole new level.

I was hooked on the story, just as Audrey and Dylan were hooked on each other. I couldn't put this book down once I had started it.

It didn't exactly go the route I thought it would go, and for that I am grateful. I like to be surprised by my stories.

Dylan and Audrey are just perfect for each other, and I wanted, no I needed them to make their HEA, no matter what trials and tribulations that had to endure.

Sweet Fate was the perfect end to our lovelies story, now I can't wait to see what Ms Paige brings us next.

I admit, I was not a fan of Martha through the Stage Dive series, she was selfish and a trouble maker, and I just wanted to slap the nasty out of her.

Kylie Scott has done a great job of redeeming her in my eyes, and at times I even felt sorry for her (I know, GASP, right?)

I enjoyed seeing all of the Stage Dive guys and their ladies (I still maintain that Mal is MINE!), and where they were at this stage in their lives.

Sam, oh Sam how I adore you, and I can understand why Martha tripped and fell right in love with the guy.

I enjoyed the narration, and found myself walking around my house with my headphones on so I could listen a little more (and too lazy to take headphones off and use Alexa lol)

Thank you Ms Scott for this novella - I didn't know I needed Martha's story until I started listening.

Audiobook review

I am loving the Audible First books - though I know some, like my blog partner don't do audiobooks at all.

Repeat was an amnesia book with a difference. I was expecting the "flashbacks" of memories for our darling Clementine to remember, however we didn't get that at all. She now has to learn to be herself in the now, all the while learning about the person she was in the past.

And that was not always a good thing for her.

I do like her in the now though.

Then there is Ed - oh my, am feeling the need, the need for another tattoo.

I enjoyed as Clementine and Ed found their way back to each other, but I did feel that the ending was a little bit rushed, but that could just be me.

I enjoyed the narration, Ms Arndt drawing me right into the story.

I laughed, I cried and threw my headphones across the room in frustration at times. - well played Ms Scott, well played.

Not I am impatient for what Ms Scott is bringing us next, and I feel a Stage Dive reread in my near future.

I have seen many Facebook friends post about this series, and it has been a while since I have read a cozy mystery, so why the heck not dive in.

I dove right in to the audiobook.

This is a cute and quirky series that I will definitely be reading/listening to more of in the future.

At first, I found the narrator a little - I won't say annoying as that is not the word, but she sounded for a while like a young girl rather than the woman that Fred is. However about 1/4 in I got used to her and it didn't bother me after that.

I enjoyed the story, even though I figured out pretty quickly who the killer was, but was not sure of their motives.

Watson is my spirit animal -feed me snacks, pronto!

One thing that irked me - the constant talk of Fred's height - she is 5'10", not gigantor!
