I have had this book forever, and knowing how much I loved Pennies, I had high expectations for Dollars.

Now, whilst I liked Dollars, I didn't love it. Don't get me wrong, the writing was excellent, the content this time just lacked a little something.

it was full of drama and suspense, and I loved the journey Pim went on in this installment, however for me it just felt like one long set up for the 3rd book. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it just felt like this one draaaaaaged.

There was a hell of a lot of inner dialogue that I just wanted to skip - and skip I did at times.

i did like where the story had gotten to by the end, and am glad I have Hundreds waiting for me as I need to see where Elder and Pim go next.

Yes! I have been waiting for more Saxton since Blay and Qhuinn's story all those centuries ago (well, maybe not that long ago, but it sure does seem it.)

And it was all I could have wanted. He and Ruhn - sigh, oh my heart. My heart had been hurting for Saxton, and every time Blay turned up on the page with him, I felt a little squeeze in my chest.

However Ruhn was just the perfect man for him, and i was so, so happy that they found each other.

I adore Saxton when he is working with Wrath. I love the banter, their friendship.

It did feel a little insta-lovey at times, but when you know, you know, so it wasn't too bad.

What I loved is that Blood Fury was really a twofer. As well as Saxton and Ruhn we get Peyton and Novo.

It did take me a while to get into their story, however once I got into it I couldn't wait to turn each page to see where their story went.

I loved getting more of (some of) the Brothers. I have been reading this series for so many years now, and love catching up on some of my favouries (le sigh John Matthew).

I am really liking this BDB spin off series, and can't wait to see where JR Ward takes us next.

Part 2 starts up right where part 1 ended so you will need to have read it first.

Suspense, betrayal, secrets and lies. Tension (both of the sexual and non-sexual kind) abounds as Seth and Amanda try to come to terms with who has set them up, whether they can trust each other, or whether they will kill each other.

In the first part of the series, I surmised that someone was pitting them against each other but we did not know whom it was. We still do not know, but it is heating up.

I did feel that this short did flounder a little in the middle, and things went around in circles for a while, however once things did move ahead...

BAM we were cliffhangered. But that's OK, as we only have a week to wait for the final installments.

I am probably in the minority here, but this one just really didn't do it for me.

25% in and I was all "really, we're back in the middle of book 2 again?". I like Seth, I am still unsure on Amanda, and their story kept on going round in circles.

And after 3 books of build up to something big, there was..... nothing. It all just was resolved, and I was left wanting.

I wanted more drama to end it all, I wanted more bang for my buck, but to me the end was just a whimper.

But this could just be me.

I did enjoy the series, it was just that this final installment fell flat compared to the other 2 parts.

I look forward to seeing what Ms Jones brings us next.

3.75 prickly stars

This is the first of the Out of Uniform series that I have read, however I have read and enjoyed Ms Kennedy's Off Campus series.

I was drawn in by the blurb for this one, and was really drawn in by the first couple of chapters.

However then Seth's prickly nature started to grate on me. I wanted to really love him, but his misdemeaours really started to clock up for the first half of the book. I get him being all keen for Miranda, but then the way he acts around her and her kids was like "really Seth, really?". He did get better the second half of the book though

The kidlets are little scene stealers and you just never knew what was going to come out of their mouths.

I could understand Miranda's hesitance to start anything, and loved that when she made a decision to take charge, she went balls to the wall.

Not going to lie, most of the time I was more interested in Dylan and what was happening/hoping to happen/happening with Aidan. Now that had my anxious for me.

I will now be going back and reading more of this series.

A new Max Monroe series, woohoo!

It seems like forever since the BBB series ended, and even though it is not that long, I have been impatiently awaiting the Mavericks. If you have read the Billionaire Bad Boys, you will have briefly met two of the main players in this book, Quinn and Sean (Sean is Cassie's brother)

Now, as I started reading, I did get the RK Lilley/In Flight series vibe - that's just be the first class plane action though, the gay best friend, all the flying. And it is a good vibe to have.

I loved that Cat doesn't know who Quinn is. I love all the ways that Quinn goes out of his way to see her. I love the spark and the lust between the pair, and being taken on the journey as they fall in love.

I hate hate hate Quinn's parents, and want to hit them both with my Kindle.

I couldn't help but smile - most of the time - as I as reading. There were a couple of sad moments that had me all upset along with the characters.

Just loved it!

Now I need Sean, and I need Denver's stories - stat!

I know we don't have long to wait, bit I am impatient and don't like being kept waiting!

Bring them on Max Monroe!

This is the 3rd book in the Fix series, and can be read as a stand alone - but why would you want to miss any of the Thompson family fun?

Abby is the only Thompson daughter and doesn't like showing any weakness like asking her family for help. I get that, we all want to prove ourselves.

Enter the blast from the past Spencer, who is now a sexy scientist and she is still everything he ever wanted.

I loved that they didn't just jump into bed together. They have a real slow burn of things, from friends to more.

There is no OTT drama, and love that Abby is kind of a "fixer", though she doesn't like relying on others to fix her problems. And I love that of her. Strong, independent women are something I love in my books.

Fix My Fall is my favourite in the series so far, light and flirty, just the kind of read I needed.

Can't wait to see what Ms Heywood brings us next.

This series is on that never disappoints. 46 books in and I am still eager to find out what is happening in Roarke and Dallas world.

We are kept in suspense as Darling Eve, Peabody and my Roarke hunt down a Hitchcock-esque serial killer.

I love the sexiness in this story, as Eve takes full advantage of Summerset still being away. Oh my, I am still fanning myself.

JD Robb keeps us on our toes, even knowing how the next murder is going to happen, you want to scream at the characters to listen, to turn around, to run run run.

Even though this is book 46 in the series, it can be read independently if you have missed some of the books (like I have). Dallas and Roarke will drag you right into the story and you won't want to leave.

I can't wait to see what book 47 brings us

Tara Sivec is at her hilarious best with her new Naughty Princess Club series.

It is comedy gold. From the first word to the the last I was in stitches as Cynthia, Ariel and Belle embark on new exciting and funny adventures.

At The Stroke of Midnight is a sexy new telling of Cinderella

Believe me when I say, you will never look at Cinderella, The Little Mermaid and Beauty and The Beast the same - ever!

I was kept on the edge of my seat, laughing so much and just needing to know where the story would go next.

And ladies, if you don't swoon at the Charming in this story, well, there must be something wrong with you!

Oh, and when frickle meets frackle - dies!

Get swept up in the Wysteria Lane-ish antics of these ladies. You won't regret it.

I cannot wait for book 2!

Tara Leigh, you had me at rock star!

I am as big rock star book groupie, so it was not rocket science that I was going to read Rock King.

I liked that Shane Hawthorne isn't our usual man whore rock star screwing anything with a pair of boobs. Sure, he is the tortured artist, and there was a time he was like that, but there is so much more to him.

Delaney is also a little broken, and whilst most of the time I liked her, as she was not the usual Hollywood/LA starlet, however at times she frustrated the heck out of me. Everytime something popped up (not like that you dirty pervs) she would go on that is was all planned, he set her up blah blah. Got a little tiresome after a while.

I did like the premise - I mean, it would be a very common thing among the rich and famous I am sure. The writing great, the story flowed, I just had a few eye-roll moments as the story went along.

Sweet, sexy, heartbreaking - Rock King had a bit of everything, and now I am eager for the second book in the series.
