I read the second book in The Royals series, Royally Romanov, and really enjoyed it, so it was a no brainer to pick up Royally Wed.
It is your classic royal with a sense of duty to the family meets a commoner who steals their heart story, however it didn't feel cliche.
Amelia is the Princess marrying not for love but out of family obligation. Asher is the cello player for her wedding whose career is in danger of completely collapsing.
There is so much emotion in this book. I spent half the time pleading with the characters to make the right decision, and the other half of the book growling at characters who just aren't doing right by our lovelies.
I just wanted to slap some people!
Royally Wed is adorable and sweet and cute. Can't wait to see what Ms Wilson bring us next.

Read and listened to this one.
This is a second-chance-kinda-triangle-sports book that was little bit different.
I liked that our heroine that all the guys are loving on is a larger, beautiful girl. But I did feel that her being a bigger girl was reiterate too much. We got it early in the piece and it wasn't until probably half way through that it stopped being told all the time - but this could be just me.
I was a bit conflicted though - not with the story, but with which guy I wanted Emerson to be with. I loved/hated the history between Miller and Em, but also the spark between Sanchez and Em.
And after finishing, I am still not sure if I am happy with the ending! I might need to stew on that a little longer.
Now, with the audio. It really took me a while to warm up to the female narrator. Her voice to me just felt a little bland and emotionless, and sometimes sounded like the kindle text to talk narrator. But again, this is probably just me!
I do have the second book in this series waiting for me on my kindle (thank you Netgalley) so will have to jump in soon

We've all had that daydream of our favourite rock star seeing us, falling in love an whisking us away on tour with them, right? Or is that just me?
When country girl Grace Storey moves to Sydney to start a new life, the most important things are finding a job and an apartment. After a real comedy of errors of a first day, the last thing she expects is Darcy.
Darcy Fortune, world renowned rock star, rock whore and bad boy. Sigh. He is all kinds of swoony with that arrogance that you hate but love at the same time.
The chemistry between our lovelies is off the charts. You can't help but fall in love along with them as they take on the world. I love the fake-to-realness of their relationship. Sure they are thrown together, but their relationship grows organically, doesn't feel rushed at all.
Grace is very relatable. Her issues are (mostly) regular girl issues, it's not all rainbows and unicorns in her world.
My heart ached for Darcy, I wanted to get violent on some people and slap them with my Kindle. But most of all, I had hope for Grace and Darcy as they forged their way to a real relationship.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sydney settings. It is my home city, and it was great to be able to picture places as I was reading.
And Aussies - I loved that every 15 year old's sneaky alcoholic drink Passion Pop got a mention!
It haven't read a Lauren K McKellar book in a while, however Fortune has made me want to go back and read the books I have waiting on my kindle.
Fun, sweet and flirty, Fortune was a wonderful way to spend my night.
Can't wait to see what she brings us next.

M. Robinson has done it again with El Santo.
Every time I pick up one of her books I tell myself that this is the time that she isn't going to f*ck with my head and my emotions.
Nope. She did it again!
After we very quickly met Damien in the end of El Diablo, I was expecting the story to be something else. However the story she has given us was so completely different, and so completely amazing.
Damien really is a man we should hate, should despise him actually. But I couldn't do it. As the story progresses, there are so many things that are wrong, however he does so much right.
I don't want to give too much away about the love interest in this story, but believe me, it will surprise you who they are.
I was anxious the whole time I was reading El Santo. I couldn't help it. I knew that Ms Robinson was going to mess with me, There is a reason she is known by her readers as the "Queen of Angst". I believe the new term for her is also #Soulsucker - both titles are well deserved.
El Santo does end on a cliffhanger, however nobody does a cliffhanger like M. Robinson. Even though I was tapping on my kindle, looking for more pages, it didn't bother me that it was cliffied. And we only have a couple of months to wait for the next installment!
If you are after a read that will have you on the edge of your seat, that will have you pulling your hair out, that will have you yelling at your Kindle - read El Santo.
Can't wait for part 2.

Copy of book received from author - thank you
I adored the Weekday Brides series, and had wondered as the series progressed what would happen to these brides after their contracts were up.
No need to wonder anymore! Fool Me Once is the first in the spin off First Wives series, and it was a great introduction.
This story focuses on Lori, the Alliance lawyer. It is a story of female friendship, life after divorce, finding love when you least expect it.
I did have trouble feeling the connection between Lori and her fella Reed for a lot of the book. I don't know, it just felt a bit forced for a lot of the time -but this could just be me. It did get better as the story continued.
There is plenty of wit and snark, particularly between Lori and Reed. There is also a bit of mystery and intrigue surrounding Lori and the "first wives". These ladies were in some tough situations, and they handled them well, and Ms Bybee brought some levity to their situation with the way the ladies all interacted.
A fun start to the First Wives series.

Woohoo, time to head back to North Carolina and spend some time with the hockey hotties from the Cold Fury.
If you have read Lucas, some of this will be familiar, as the timelines do cross.
I liked Van in Lucas - he is Lucas' team mate and house mate. But we didn't know much about him until now.
And what's not to love about him. He is sweet and loyal, but also caustic and cut off and broody.
Simone Fournier, sister of Fury's Max and Lucas - ahh, she is bold and brassy and certainly goes after what she wants and doesn't take no for an answer.
I could relate to her not knowing what she wants out of life. We have all drifted like her at some point in our lives
Now, I am not going to lie (and don't shoot me Sawyer). I have felt that the past couple of CF books the quality was slipping a little. Maybe it was that the author has a couple of different series out through the year and she was spreading herself a bit thin? Maybe it was just me and my expectations? Whatever it was, they just felt a bit meh to me.
I am glad to say that she is back to her great work with Van.
The characters are relatable. The story flowed well. The relationship from sex to more was organic. I wanted to slap shot Van in his mean mouth at times, but then he would redeem himself.
I love seeing a bit of the Cold Fury guys from the previous books, however I also love that you don't need to have read them to jump into this series.
I am happy that the series is continuing. Can't wait to see what that brings us.

Make an appointment with your dentist, as Always You is so darn sweet it will give you a toothache!
This is my first Denise Grover Swank read, and even though this is book 3 in a series it did not affect my enjoyment.
This is a sweet and tender second chance romance, as we all have that one that got away, and we are full of what ifs, right.
Matt has got to be the sweetest, most patient guy I have ever read. I know that if things played out in my life like they did in his, I would not handle it as good as him.
Anna is adorable too, with a lot of baggage she is carrying around in her head and her heart.
I do like Matt and Anna together, but to me it felt a bit rushed how they got back together. I mean, after all that happened it felt like "hi, you're back, let's get together" -but this could just be me.
There are great secondary characters, a story that flows and makes your heart fill with hope.
I will now need to go back and read the first 2 books in this series.

Oh how I have been looking forward to this story, and from the minute I open the cover I was hooked.
I have loved these jaunts around the world with Ms Duggan and her wonderful characters, and this trip to Rome was no exception.
I really do feel for Sammi. She is floundering in life, and we have all been like that at some stage. One snap decision and this little Aussie ends up in Rome on the holiday of a life time. I mean the history, the food, hot Italian men, who wouldn't want to go there.

Enter our Italian stallion (I mean, c'mon we have to call him that!), Marcello (am I the only one rolling my R's as I say his name??) You can't help but like him from the start, even if he is a bit of an ar$e - a seriously gorgeous ar5e!
I got swept away along with Sammi as she discovers Rome - and discovers herself. Ms Duggan writes with beautiful imagery that I could feel myself walking the cobbled streets, picture myself at the Spanish Steps, wished as I threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain.
Now I feel the need... the need for pasta and gelato!
So grab your passport, pack a toga and get ready for your own Roman Holiday.

Not going to lie, I sat down and ate a muffin at midday as I read Cake At Midnight.
This is a beautiful story of love, friendship, and moving on.
Gio, Declan and Zoe - Baker, Brains and Beauty - have that kind of friendship that can get through anything. Well, almost.
I adore Gio, all her quirks just make her all the more adorable. I hurt along with her as she tries to move on from her lifelong crush, Dec.
Ugh, Dec. I am not sure if I am supposed to really, really dislike him most of the book, but I did. He is an ar5e, a complete douche to his friend, and I just couldn't with him.
Enter Theo... oh my! I couldn't help but fall for this guy next door, right along with Gio.
It was great to see her spread her wings and take flight.
I laughed, I hurt, I craved cake. In fact now, as I am writing, I am wanting cake. Can someone go get me some cake?

This is only the second book of Ms Star's that I have read, but it definitely won't be the last. The story flowed, there was such wonderful imagery that I could picture myself sitting with our lovelies.
Ms Star has impressed me with both of her I have read to date, and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

A new Body Armor story? OK, if you insist!
I have enjoyed the first 2 books in this series, and now we have Miles - and humina humina, me likey!
From the minute Miles and his former fling Maxi reconnect, sparks fly. Boy, the sexual tension between them is off the charts.
Add in a bit of mystery and intrigue, and we are in for one hell of a ride.
And when Miles and Maxi do get in close contact.... hooeeeey hot stuff!
I did have a pretty good guess of who the bad guy is about halfway throughout the story, however Ms Foster didn't let us know the why's and what fors until she was ready to reveal.
One thing about this story - cats. So many cats!
I loved getting to see the boys from Body Armor and the guys from the Ultimate series a bit more too!
Now I need to know Brand's story - please don't make us wait too long!
