This book right here is what I have been waiting for! Since the series started, I have been wanting Jo's story, and it was everything I wanted.
And more.
Well, Mr McHottie Gill is more.
Throughout the series, I have felt that Jo was missing out. Missing out on love, missing out on life.
From "most likely to end up in jail" to town Sheriff, Jo's story has been full of heartbreak - and she's not up for any more of that.
However, after an encounter with Gill, Jo's life is set on a different course. She has been trying to get to the bottom of her father's death a decade earlier, and now with fresh eyes and another persons perspective, things are moving along.
It is a whodunnit that has been building up since the earlier books in the series, and I have to say, Ms Bybee has written this so well that I was completely shocked when all things were reveal - well played.
I loved the growth in all the characters in this series, but particularly Jo. She finally spreads her wings and it is a joy to read.
I am sad that this is the final book in this series (as I am when any Catherine Bybee series ends) but that just means we will soon be on a new adventure.
Can't wait to see where we go next.

It is no secret that I am a sucker for a rock star story, so reading Rocked Up was a no brainer.
Brad and Lael's story is a cute, sweet rocker romance. I liked the ARC that the story took, and looking at the cover there is something that happens that you can guess without reading.
I adored Brad's back story - made me like him ever more for it.
However this story lacked a little something that I love in a rock star book. I missed the dirty, the on road antics, the bit of angst. It was all a little bit too cutesy for me - however this is just my jam and most likely won't affect your feelings on the book.
A big plus for me was that there was unnecessary drama thrown in just for the sake of having it - it is one of my pet peeves lately.
The writing was smooth, the story flowed and loved seeing Brad and Lael flourish.

KM Golland, you had me at Cheezel!
I have been looking forward to Plight since I first heard about it, and being a KM Golland story, it did not disappoint.
Elliot and Danielle's story is a cute second chance, friends to lovers story that had my smiling from cover to cover.
A cheezel proposal at 8 years old has come back to haunt Danielle, but Elliot is not taking no for an answer.
"You're engaged kiddo. A Cheezel proposal is the real deal."
I love the push/pull between our lovelies, as Elliot pursues Danielle and she tells herself she doesn't want it.
But oh does she want it! And as a reader, you just want her to take it!
"Shits. The bat had woken my cat and it wasn't a good thing. It was bad. Real bad."
Theirs is a beautiful story of finding love. You never know when you will find the one. It will have you laughing, swooning and falling in love along with our lovelies.
Whilst there was plenty of sizzle and spark, I missed the heat that we usually get with a KM Golland story - though that says more about me than the book!
I devoured this book in one sitting, and I can't wait to see what Ms Golland brings us next.

There is such a fine line between love and hate - or lust and hate.
Right from the start you couldn't help but adore Tess and Nick, and hate the man who screwed Tess over. There is wit and spark and banter out the wazoo with this pair.
I adored seeing them strip each others layers until they find the man and woman beneath the hatred they have for each other. And then stripping each other's clothes off! The sexy times are off the charts hot!
The scene stealer in this book is their charge, their best friends little boy Max. Oh my gosh that kid as freaking adorable!
There's also a bit of suspensey stuff that happens in the background that brings our lovelies closer together.
I loved the secondary characters. Fiona and Ethan have taken each other off the market, but I can't wait to see what happens with their friends Jace and Lucas down the track.
Please don't make us wait too long Ms Karr.

Yes, we have had a bit of a wait for All That I Am, but Ben Hunt is worth every second of the wait.
When Ms Brookes said that ATIA was going to be different to her previous works, I was excited as well as a little bit worried - Change is a good thing, but sometimes it doesn't quite work for an author.
I should not have worried. She has knocked it out of the park with this one.
In face, I want to know if Monroe is real, or why all the hot guys are there and not where I live?
Sasha is all kinds of strong and sassy. Doesn't want nor need a man, she is successful in her own right and gives the big middle finger to those that didn't believe in here.
Until Ben.
Seriously, he and all his alphaness are every kind of swoonworthy. I want one of my own!
There is a bit of suspense and mystery running through the story, and I gotta say, when things came to a head I kinds had an idea about some stuff but was completely shocked when other things were revealed - and I loved it being like that.
I really had a hard time putting this book down, and now I am all impatient for the next alpha-Monroe-man to find his woman.

So much to love about this installment!
I am new to audio books, so 44 hours is a daunting task, however the narrator did such a good job that I couldn't wait to listen on my walk to and from work each day.
Now on to the next book

"Every bad guy is the hero of his own tale."
Hmmm not sure how to review this one. I signed up for this one as it was a Celia Aaron book and I didn't have much detail about it at the time.
I really liked the premise of the story, the bad buy and the good girl. I enjoyed the writing and how the story played out.
Sebastian and Camille's story isn't an easy one. I mean, a story with a kidnapping can never be an easy one, right?
However, and this might just be me, but I felt that our unlucky lady Camille just, I don't know, gave up? Where was her fight or flight instinct? Where was the kicking and screaming and fighting?
Sebastian, whilst yes he is not the knight in shining armour we get in our romances, he is not the dark I was expecting.
Sure, there were dark aspects, but at times Sebastian was quite a teddy bear. Maybe it is that I have read other dark romance that are dark AF, that is why this didn't come across as dark for me? Some of the darker aspects felt like they were a little glossed over for me also.
Now don't get me wrong, the story is a good story, but it had more of a contemporary romance feel to it than dark romance - again, this could just be me because of the other dark romance I have read in the past - to others, this could be really dark. To me it is more shade of grey than dark.
I liked the arc of the story, and though I had trouble connecting with Camille for the first half of the book, I did in the later half. The writing was good, however this just wasn't one meant for me.

The next book in the Hudson Valley series – woohoo.
"Cos you ain't got none unless you got buns hun"
That is what I sing to myself every time I see the cover of this book. He sure does wear those jeans well!
I have fallen in love with this series, and was very excited to get back to Bailey Falls.
Right from the get go I felt like I was in the big house from Dirty Dancing. All I needed was Johnny to come steal Baby from the corner to make the feeling complete!
Clara Morgan completes the Three Amigos that include Roxie and Nat from the first two books. She is kind of the calm to their storms, she completes them.
Archie Bryant - fanning myself. He is kind of old school and fits right in with the old style hotel. Be has that kind of suave, old school Hollywood vibe about him.
I love the push and pull between our lovelies - it is a kind of love/hate deal with a healthy dose of lusty feelings thrown in for good measure. I just want them to get together! I mean, there is a lake, surely they can do some lifting or something there for me?
I loved getting more of the lad and lasses from the first 2 books in there series, and I especially loved a cameo from an unidentified redhead and her beau!
I loved everything about Buns. It is sweet, sexy, cute and adorable and everything I want in my romance books. It makes me want to head up to the mountains and dance the pachanga!

You know when you open up at Kendall Ryan book what you are going to get, and I was not disappointed with Sexy Stranger.
Sexy Stranger is a Darcy-and-Elizabethesque enemies to lovers story that had me gripped from cover to cover.
Luke and Charlottes' relationship starts with snark and bite - and just gets better from there on.
With the help of the inhabitants of Shady Grove, whom I thought were great secondary characters, our lovelies will come out of their shells, drop their baggage at the door and move forward to sexy times (because when things heat up, boy they heat up!)
I adore Luke's brother and sister, particularly his sister Molly. There is just something about that girl that I can't help but want to be friends with.
There was one part of the book that I felt was a but superfluous (though this might just be me). I can understand why in the scheme of things it may have needed to happen but I don't know, I don't think it added anything to the story. But who am I to say!
Sexy Stranger is a cute, adorable and sexy enemies to lovers story, and I hope we get the brother and sister's story too.

Yes! More Nikki and Damien!
I am not going to lie, I have been a Starkie since I first started reading this series, and each and every story makes me fall for him even more.
I quickly read Entice Me before I dived into Anchor Me, and I am glad that I did, because Anchor Me continues on right from the end.
It hasn't been that long since we last had our Damien fix - but for me it is always too long!
Hold Me carries on from where Anchor Me finishes, so if you are not up to date with the series, you will need to read that one first or there will be spoilers.
Damien and Nikki are just - I don't know, there aren't enough words for how much I adore them.
I love the softer side of Damien, and it really shines through in this novella, and Ms Kenner gives us a lovely insight into our lovelies lives.
I loved it. I need more.
Fight you for Damien - I win! He's mine!
