Making It Right
by Catherine Bybee
ARC received for an honest review
This book right here is what I have been waiting for! Since the series started, I have been wanting Jo's story, and it was everything I wanted.
And more.
Well, Mr McHottie Gill is more.
Throughout the series, I have felt that Jo was missing out. Missing out on love, missing out on life.
From "most likely to end up in jail" to town Sheriff, Jo's story has been full of heartbreak - and she's not up for any more of that.
However, after an encounter with Gill, Jo's life is set on a different course. She has been trying to get to the bottom of her father's death a decade earlier, and now with fresh eyes and another persons perspective, things are moving along.
It is a whodunnit that has been building up since the earlier books in the series, and I have to say, Ms Bybee has written this so well that I was completely shocked when all things were reveal - well played.
I loved the growth in all the characters in this series, but particularly Jo. She finally spreads her wings and it is a joy to read.
I am sad that this is the final book in this series (as I am when any Catherine Bybee series ends) but that just means we will soon be on a new adventure.
Can't wait to see where we go next.
