I have not read the first book in the Destination Love series, but this did not affect my reading of Almost A Bride.

This is also my first Jo Watson book I have read, and I will be going back to read more.

Almost A Bride is a quirky, fun book about finding love when you least expect it. I wasn't such a fan of Annie at first, she did grate on me a little bit, but that was only at first. Once I really got into the book I thought she was pretty darn adorable, and Chris was just great from the get go.

There were times Annie's ex made me feel violent. Like I wanted to stab him in the eyes with a letter opener violent. He was such a d!ck and I did not find one thing at all likable about him.

Almost A Bride is sweet and heartfelt and at times laugh out loud funny, so if you are are after a read that is a little bit different, give it a go.

Ms Miller and Ms Carson - you had me at rock star.

I am a sucker for a rock star book, and I immediately liked our guy Kennedy. He is really living the sex & drugs & rock n roll lifestyle.

I liked that Redfall were older guys, not the usual "just signed a record deal early 20's guys" - they are closer to old-fartdom like me!

I really enjoyed seeing the characters develop - they are more than the public person, more than trappings of fame. The are flawed, messed up men.

It is not all insta lust or insta love with Abby and Kennedy, and it is great to be taken on the journey with them as they fight for what they want.

I love the banter between Kennedy and his band mate, and adore (most of)

There are many hurdles for them all to cross, and I can't wait for the rest of the guys to get their stories.

3.5 sweet stars

The Cottage at Firefly Lake is a sweet second chance romance that was a great way to fill a couple of afternoons.

Sean and Charlie/Charlotte's story is filled with lots of history, family secrets and lies, and love - first love, love lost, love rekindled. And doing what is right - maybe not right for them but right for those around them.

Not going to lie, at times Charlie frustrated me. She is the kick ass international investigative journalist, but sometimes she came across as weaker than I knew she was. I wanted to shake some sense into her at times. But this could just be me.

I adored Sean. He was constant in what he wanted in his life, put it all out there and on the line.

At times I felt that the characters just kept having the same argument and never resolved things - the development, their families, their feeling. It was as though they were stuck on a roundabout, unable to exit.

The story held my interest and I did need to know what would happen with the characters. It is a good debut, and I look forward to seeing where there author takes us and the development in her writing as the series continues.

This is the first book by Lauren Runow that I have read, and I was impressed by what I read.

I am huge fan of rock star books, and I like that this isn't all rainbows and butterflies for our loveies.

Lily and Trevin's story has history. Decades of history. It had everything I wanted, from a life long friendship, first love, second chance romance, rock star lifestyle, the ones left behind.

I read this book in one sitting, as I needed to know what happened with our lovelies. it is pretty much angst and drama free, but that is not saying that it is not full of heartfelt emotion.

I was completely captivated by Lily and Trev's story, and all through it I was hoping that they would make it to their HEA - but not telling you if they do!

My heart broke and healed over and over for them as their story unfolded. I wanted to shout at my kindle, shed a tear, slap some sense into people, laugh, smile, the whole gamut of emotions.

I can't wait to see what Ms Runow brings us next.

I have been waiting for Jonah's story from the minute he left Falcon Ridge.

And it was worth every minute of the wait for Return to Falcon Ridge.

It was sweet, sexy, smoking hot and full of raw emotion. I adore the McLendon family and all their quirks, their lives and their loves. They are an amazing family, and it makes me want to move to their farm!

Can't wait to see what Ms Roan brings us next.

Yesssss!! Blake is back, back again. Blake is back, tell a friend!

I (eventually) fell in love with Blake in the book Us, when he became Jamie and Wes' new neighbour in Toronto. He and his c-blocking ways annoyed me when I first met him, but that didn't last long.

If you have read Us and Him, you have also met Jamie's sister Jess. I adore her and all her indecisiveness. I feel for her when her family are kinda condescending to her, I want her to give them all (except the beautiful Jamester) the big finger for a while there.

I love that Blake goes for it, doesn't give in and doesn't let Jess give in either - as much as she tries to fight him! I mean, she does make Blake Riley Smiley.

Oh that is another thing, I freaking love all of Blake's sayings. They are cheesey and funny and just make me laugh out loud.

Of course things never run smoothly for our lovelies, but it is great that there is not toooo much drama or angst, and that they act like adults!

I really did adore Good Boy, and can't wait for more in the WAGs series. Please don't leave me waiting too long ladies!

This is the second book in the Heart of The City series but completely standalone.

New York Nights is a light, sweet romance with a lot of heart.

I love that Sarah has taken the leap to leave Australia to live and work in New York. I adore her gumption in going for it, talking life by the short and curlies and actually living.

Ben - oh Ben. He is quite a prickly one, but then when you meet the rest of his family, it is not hard to understand why he is like he is. And as the story progressed he did thaw out a bit.

I LOVED that Sarah had the balls to stand up to Ben and his -mostly- horrible family. She wasn't afraid to ask the questions, tell them how it is, throw some punches, call them on their BS - and there is plenty of it!

I adored the relationship Sarah has with Ben's daughter Grace, and loved seeing Ben with her. This little bub really is quite the scene stealer.

The fact that Ben and Sarah didn't become the clich`d "dad boning the babysitter" story was a plus too!

New York Nights is sweet and charming, and has given me a whole new list of places to visit when I hit New York later in the year!

Now I am impatiently waiting for London Bound.

After the pretty crappy week I have had, Somebody Like You was just the thing I needed to cheer things up a little bit.

Aiden and Laurel's story is sweet, adorable second chance at love story. They have a history since early childhood and now as adults they are thrown back in each other's lives.

I love the snark and bite, especially from Laurel. I can hold a grudge with the best of them, but wowee Laurel is the master!

I am not going to lie, Laurel did annoy me at times. She would lash out at people who didn't deserve it, she was good at closing herself off from those who love her. I get why, I do, but she still frustrated me.

But Aiden, he's that guy. Knows he messed up, knows he's gotta fix it, and goes above and beyond to do it.

I loved how their relationship grew throughout the story, even with tall the small town meddling (believe me I live in a small town and boy can they meddle and gossip!) It takes a while for our lovelies to get there but get there they do.

There are some great secondary characters, but I was left with many questions at the end of this book - but knowing there are a couple more books to come I know they will be answered all in good time. But I need to know now!!

Ms Alward has written a beautiful, descriptive story that has me hankering to visit Vermont. Not wure what it is about Vermont lately, but in the past couple of weeks I have read so many new stories set there!

Now I am impatiently awaiting the second book, Somebody To Love.

Always You is my first Belle Brookes read and what little surprise packet this book was for me.

Will and May's story is emotionally exhausting one - not in a bad way, just that it will really take it out of you.

it is powerful. It is moving. It is one of those books that grips like a vice around your heart and doesn't let go.

For me, the start of the book felt a little clunky (this may just be me!!) , but as the story progressed I was swept away with Will and May's life and love. It is not always an easy story to read (again, not the writing but the story) but it is worth every tear that I shed.

Always You deals with a tough subject matter, and May and Will are both such strong characters who are surrounded by more strong people. I loved the support they gave each other, that they garnered from those around them.

This story is raw, it is gritty, it is real. It is hard to say what I feel without giving too much away, so all I will say is be ready for a few tears if you do pick it up to read.
