This is the first Casey Griffin novel I have read, and even though I have not read the first Rescue Dog Romance book, this did not detract from my enjoyment.
Beauty and The Wiener sweet, cute contemporary romance with bit of suspense thrown in for good measure.
Addison and Felix really are SOL when they get dragged into a dognapping scandal, and while they are doggedly on the trail of the culprits, they are kinda sorta building a relationship.
Addison's - hmm snobbery I guess you would call it - about the perfect guy did make her come across as shallow a lot of the time. Money does not buy class people! Felix though, I adored him and his gruff ways.
I did kind of guess who the bad guys were, and it felt a little Scooby-dooish at the end, but I enjoyed the story.
It sort of reminded me of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series, with a series of unfortunate events getting in their way - and dogs in amazing clothes!

This was me when I was reading Keeping Her Wet.
What a hot hot hot little novella. It would help if you had read Ms Robinson's books as you will enjoy the little snippets of the character's lives, but if you haven't you can just read this as 10 sexy little standalone chapters.
Keeping Her Wet is 10 short but oh so freaking sexy chapters that will have you gasping for more. And you might want to have your significant other on stand by for when you finish!
This has made me want to go back and do a reread of every single one of Ms Robinson's book.
If you are after a sexy as eff quick read, Keeping Her Wet is what you need.

I adored this book, from the first word to the last.
Max and Sunny's connection grabbed me in the prologue, and I just grew to love them more as they story continued. Their story is adorable and sweet and sexy, even when they are all bite and snark.
This is a fun dual POV story, with a bit of suspense and drama thrown in for good measure.
Our lovelies don't meat under normal circumstances, but it just makes their story all the more special.
I love sports romances, but I know nothing about this "football", so whilst I would have adored it anyway, I loved that there wasn't huge amounts of it in this book - but this is probably just my thing, being a non American!
Max is just.... sigh. I think Sunny put it perfectly when she says
"He is gut-twistingly perfect, and I wanted to drown in him. I didn't need air. All I needed was Max Kent"
Oh girl, I am with you there!
We all know that this is supposed to be fake, but can they really fight all these real feelings in the meantime?
I was their biggest cheerleaders, needing them to find their HEA, but it will be a while before they ride of into the sunset on the back of a Harley - if they can get there at all.
I devoured this book. I was out to lunch and I had to pull out my phone and read some chapters. I needed to know what happens next. I wanted more.
I can't wait to see what Ms Madden-Mills brings us next.

Caleb is here! Caleb is here!
We have met him earlier in the series, but now we get his story woohoo
And what a story Quake is. From the minute Caleb and Juliette meet, my heart just knew that they were going to be what each other needed.
My heart broke for Juliette as we learn why she is as skittish as she is. There might have been tears but I cannot - or will not - confirm not deny!
Caleb is drawn. He needs to know her story. But it is more than that. So much more.
I don't want to give anything away, but there are people and things trying to keep our lovelies apart, and a bit of mystery and suspense throughout. Many times I thought I knew what was happening, but nope, the plot turns in ways I wasnt' expecting.
We didn't get many of the Beat and The Pulse family in this one, but we do get plenty of Ren - you need to meet Ren, she is the best!
There were times when I had such a visceral reaction to the story. My body tensed, I had such a strong hold on my kindle it is surprising it did not snap. I was mad as hell at what was going on and was on the verge of throwing my kindle across the room.
All signs of a good book to me!
I really enjoyed Quake and read it in one sitting. Now I can't wait to see what Ms Cross bring us next.

Roman is here! Woo hoo. He has been the bad boy enforcer through the series, and now it is time to get his story.
And what a story it was, I think this is one of my favourites in the series so far.
I mean, who doesn't like a bad boy? But Roman is so much more than that, and so is this book. It is kind of 2 stories in one, as the object of Roman's affection Lexi's life is intertwined with Gray and Brian Brannon, the owners of the Cold Fury. We get Brian's story too which is an added bonus.
Roman is a very emotional story. What all the characters go through, not just Roman and Lexi, may or may not have brought a tear to my eye.
I loved that Roman didn't back down from who he was or how he does things. He is who he is, has been like it all his career and I just want to high five him for sticking it to the man.
But I also adored how he tried to change himself in some aspects. I don't want to spoil things so I won't go into what he does, but I loved his struggle from little boy lost to where he is.
This really is one of my favourite series, and I will always pick them up to read. Now I am impatiently waiting the next book, Lucas. Please don't make us wait too long!

#Shamily is back!
Firstly, thank you Ms Jones for the run down at the beginning of the book, reminding us of what happened in Hard Rules - my terrible bookzheimer's really appreciated it!
We are dragged straight back into the Brandon world with Damage Control, and it is full throttle from the first word to the last.
So many twists and turns, you never know who or what to believe
For each question we have answered, a few more seem to jump out at us, and Ms Jones keeps the hits coming thick and fast.
And through it all, Shane and Emily are trying to forge a relationship. But there is so much happening and so many twists and turns, you just wonder how they have time for each other (maybe they don't ever sleep!!)
Now I really need to know what happens next. Please don't make us wait too long Ms Jones!

It has been a while since I stuck my nose in a Jay Crownover book, but I always know that what she is giving us is going to be top notch.
Riveted had me just that... riveted to my kindle. I have been wanting Dixie and Church's story since forever, and I was not disappointed.
Although this is a Saints of Denver book, it mostly doesn't take place in Denver - but all things hark back to their lives in Mile High so it does make sense.
You know what you are going to get with a Jay book, you know your are going to get an alpha, you know you are going to get a girl who gives them a run for their money.
Both Dixie and Church have always been kind of on the edge of the group of friends from the Saint series, but it was great to see them finally taking centre stage. They are both very strong characters, and even though at times I wanted to slap some sense into Church, I loved where their story took them.
A bit of drama, a bit of intrigue and suspense had me needing to know what happened next.
There are some secondary characters that I just couldn't take to in this one. Dixie's sister Kallie needed a swift kick up the bum to make her grow the eff up. Gah, every time she was on the page she annoyed me!
But for every Kallie there was Jules or Dalen (Church's family) and they made all the annoyance fade away.
I got completely engrossed in this story, and now I can't wait to see what Ms Crownover brings us next.

It has been a long time since I have read a Samantha Towle book, and now I am kicking myself for it being so long.
Plus, a movie star book is up there with rock star books for me... I guess I really love the unattainable!
Wardrobe Malfuction was a great way to get back into the ST saddle. From the first awkward use of an unusual pin cushion right through to the end I was hooked.
I loved that it was not an insta-fall-into-bed kinds of deal, there was plenty of build up and lusty looks between them before they got that far. The flirt, they fight, they really do have a long foreplay!
The story is sweet, sexy, funny and even though there is a bit of drama it is not OTT - though it could have been avoided if they talked to one another!
Vaughn and Charlie are just so adorable, and it gives us all hope that we could meet a movie star and have them fall irrevocably in love with us!
Now I need some of the secondary characters to get their story *cough cough Alex cough cough*

I have not read the first book, Partners, but this did not affect my reading of Played at all, as there is enough background story.
Played is an intense book from the first word to the last. Who was the bad guys? Who could be trusted?
It was an edge of your seat adventure, where our lovelies Chloe and Aiden straddle that very fine line between love and hate.
They say there's a thin line between love and hate, and I'd say a bullet pushes a man to cross it
Right up to the end I wasn't sure which way I wanted the story to go, but I was very happy with where things ended up.
I adore Ms Anderson's writing, and I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

I was wondering where the mysterious Max Monroe was going to take us now that the Billionaire Bad Boys series was finished. Sex Says was completely different but so good.
Lola and Reed's story is kind of like that movie The Ugly Truth with Gerard Butler and Katherine Heigl. You know, they hate each other till they love each other kind of thing.
Sex Says is a smart, sexy, funny story that drew me in from the very beginning.
I freaking adored Reed right away. I liked that he wasn't the rock star, the billionaire, the alpha hot guy that we seem to always been reading (not that there is anything at all wrong with them!). He is a breath of fresh air. He is a free spirit, kinda struggling to find his place in life.
Lola - well, she is a spitfire. When she locks horns with Reed, sparks fly. Like, get ready for the hate sex sparks.
"He was my enemy. A really, really hot enemy"
I could keep on talking about what I loved about this book for days - but I won't!
The dynamic duo of Max Monroe really are the dynamic duo of romantic comedies at the moment, and it makes me wish that, whoever they are, they had started writing together long before they did.
Now I am impatiently waiting to see what they bring us next.
