Ms Johnson, you had me at SEAL!
I adore this series. Each books is a quick, sexy suspenseful read that has you on the edge or your seat.
Grant and Jennifer's story has a little bit more action than your average relationship. So many obstacles they need to overcome, but who wants everything easy peasy?
I adore Jennifer's strength through the story.
I loved that we got more of the GAPS boys, particularly Jon <3
There was nothing I didn't like about this book. Each and every time a new GAPS books turns up on my Kindle, I know I am going to have a great couple of hours, enveloped in the world of these sexy SEALs and their ladies.
Rescued By A Hot SEAL is a sweet story about 2 people taking a second chance at life... and love.
I hope we get more of Grant and Jennifer in later stories, and can't wait to see what Ms Johnson brings us next.

This is the second installment of the Triskelion Team series, and although it could be read as a standalone for Shane and Ruthie's story, the storyline does carry through from the first book Final Target, so I would read that one first.
Oh what a tangled web we weave....
We first met Shane Delaney in the first book, and at the end of it he had come across some information that had him majorly p!ssed.
Ruthie Reynolds is a girl from his past that he never thought he would see again... and never thought he would love. I freaking LOVE Ruthie and her take no crap, take no prisoners outlook on life. I love her strength to do what needs to be done, however it needs to be done.
But even with all that strength, the walls she has built up are not unbreachable.
There is so much going on in this book. You never knew what was going to happen next, who was who, what was what. Just when you thought you knew what was going to happen next... BAM - nope!
There were some definite OMGF moments, things that I definitely did not see coming.
From the first word to the last, I was hooked on Kiss Shot, and am not impatiently awaiting more from Ms Keane.

Batter up!
When Sloan Johnson offers you an advanced copy of her new book, this little black duck takes it.
I am a huge fan of the Homeruns series, and the latest installment, Line Drive was just perfection.
I don't know much about baseball (other than what I have learned from watching Major League, Bull Durham) but I love diving into a good sports romance.
This is a sports romance with a bit of a difference though - there isn't as much of the sport in Line Drive as you would expect.
This is more a behind the scenes, what happens off the field sports story.
PJ and Nate's story is moving, it is emotional and it cuts right to the heart of what it is to be gay in the manly man's world of professional baseball.
PJ is in the twilight of his professional playing career, and what should be a banner year for him is becoming his nightmare. Shooting for a record before he retires, he has lost the fire in his belly due to the rampant homophobia within his club.
Nate is about as sporty as I am, but he knows how PJ feels, having to hide his true self from the court of public opinion (through his brother Zach who is just luuuurve!).
There is an intensity between PJ and Nate that leaps off the pages. From their first meeting to the end, I could feel the push/pull between them. The fear of what is happening, what could happen. But also how together it seems to quiet the storm.
Line Drive is a work of fiction, but the story Ms Johnson has told is being played out all day, every day in locker rooms across the globe. It is 2016, and the dinosaurs need to realise that their time has been and gone and that their bigotry will not be tolerated any more.
It was great that we got to see more of those Milwaukee Mavericks boys. I laughed, I cried, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room in anger at times. All signs of a great book to me.
Now I am impatiently awaiting the next book!

It's always a great day when you wake up to a Pucked novel waiting on your kindle.
And when that novel is more of that horny nut sack Randy Ballistic, well, even better (even though we get quite a lot of all the Pucked people!)
This book was more than I expected. I was expecting the dirty talk, beavers, wiener and Balls - which we got - but I felt that this book was a bit deeper, a bit darker than the others so far.
Sure, there were plenty of all that, but Randy and Lily's story had plenty of anger and sadness and drama - and it made me fall in love with them all over again.
Of course, this being a Pucked books, we can expect lots of sexy times - I am still fanning myself!!
We got a little bit more of Darren and Lance in this book too - so fingers crossed, Ms Hunting, that it won't be too long before we get their stories?
Can't wait to see what comes next.

This is my first Sophia Henry book, and although it is book 4 in the Pilots Hockey series, it did not affect my reading of Unsportsmanlike Conduct.
I love a sports romance, and love a good hockey hottie.
Although the man-whore-hockey-star-meets-normal-girl premise is not a new one, I did like that our leading lady Kristen is not just the "normal girl"
I loved that she was dealing with a life long illness (Cystic Fibrosis) and the struggles she and her family and friends go through daily.
And I adored the way Pasha/Pavel took it all in his stride.
I am not going to lie, it took me about 1/3 of the book to really get into this story. Not sure why it dragged so much for me, but I am glad I pushed through.
Secrets, lies (of omission)... when will people learn that all that crap will lead to trouble??? I could understand why Pasha didn't say something.. at first. But as things were getting more serious I wanted to crack him over the head with my Kindle!
I did giggle at times with the "Big Fat Greek Wedding" kind of vibe I got - especially from Kristen's mother!
Unsportsmanlike Conduct is a pretty good way to start with a new author, and I will be going back to read the earlier books

Top Shelf is the 3rd in the Aces Hockey series, but could be read as a standalone.
This is Aces player Jared's story. I love that this is about more than hockey - not that I am complaining about hockey, but it is nice to see the character/player having more in life than "just hockey".
I want to go visit the Sin Bin and have a bit of a perv on the hockey hotties that drink there!
Sidney is what seems to be a bit of a rarity in a lot of books these days. She is a successful, non-whiny female lead who gives as good as she takes (in more ways than one!!)
The chemistry between Jared and Sidney is off the charts, and you just knew that things were going to heat up!
I loved that we got more of Jared's team mates (the good, the bad and the ugly of them) and their lovely ladies.
Top Shelf is a sweet and sexy, albeit predictable romance, and I look forward to seeing what Ms Jamieson brings us next.

I have read and adored everything I have read by Amy Daws, so it was a no brainer for me to read Challenge.
I loved that Challenge was a step away from what she has previously written and from what I have come to expect from her. This is a spin off from the London Lovers series, and while I did not feel like my still beating heart was being ripped from my chest like the earlier ones, it is still quite emotional as our loveles Indie and Cam fight for a relationship.
Cam is the cocky AF soccer star. He could have come across as a real d!ck when we first met him, but to me he didn't do that. cocky and arrogant, sure, but I could feel the scared little boy behind all the bravado.
Indie was just... Indie. Quirky, smart.. and at times just the little bit clueless (not in a bad way though!) At times I wanted to slap some sense into her, but I couldn't help but love her.
This was more than just a love story. It is a story of two people learning how to love, learning that there is more to life than their careers. Learning how to rely on someone else.
I loved that we got to see a bit more of Hayden from That One Moment (one of my favourite books EVER!) and I hope we get more as the Harris brothers stories.

Wow! Just wow!
I have read everything by T Gephart to date, but The Fall was a departure from what I have come to expect from her.
A big departure.
The Fall is dark, gritty, raw. From the first page to the last it was a gut wrenching rollercoaster of a ride
Sofia and Michael's story was like reading a Jason Bourne story. The adrenaline was pumping, I was kept on the edge of my seat (well, the edge of my couch!) and with each and every twist and turn I was left saying

And just when I thought I knew what was going to happen next..
BAM - she threw that ending at us!
The Fall had me laughing, crying, screaming in frustration, and mostly it left me wanting more.
Please Ms Gephart, give me more

We quickly met Jeremy and Kayla in book 1 of the Cottonbloom series, so it was nice to get a bit more of them down the track.
This is a very very quick read, but it was enough to get me longing for Cottonbloom again.
While I liked Candy Cane Christmas, it just wasn't great to me. I know it is hard in a novella to fit a lot in, but to me Jeremy felt more like friends than lovers? I just didn't feel that spark between them that I have with the other books in the series -but this could just be me.
I loved getting a sneak peak of the couples from the previous books.
If you have an hour to spare and want a bit of Christmas cheer, give Candy Cane Christmas a read.
