I have been anxiously waiting for Sin and Suffer since the cliffhanger at the end of Ruin and Rule. I needed to know what happened to Cleo and Kill.
And I was not at all disappointed.
Pepper Winters drew me straight back into the dark world of Kill, Cleo and Pure Corruption.
After everything they had been through in Ruin and Rule, there was nothing worse that could happen to them.... right?
Sin and Suffer is a rollercoaster of a ride. I had already suffered along with them, felt their pain as they were ripped apart and found each other again , and didn't think I could take any more.
But secrets, betrayals murder and mayhem abound as their story continues. Just when you think you know where the story is going, Ms Winters spins you around and takes you in another direction.
Dark, deep and sexy, I enjoyed every single word of Sin and Suffer, and did not want to put it down once I started.
If you have read Ruin and Rule, you NEED to read this right away. If you haven't read it, then get to it now, you will not be disappointed.

Fear and Scars starts up where Flawed and Damaged ended, so you will need to read it first.
I am not going to lie, it has been a while since I read Flawed and Damaged, and I read so much I couldn't remember what the series was about. But a quick read of my review and I was back on track (sorry Emily!)
"People say the beauty of life is its unpredicatabiliy. I mean, we never know what's coming next. We plan, we wish, we dream, but we can't really predict anything. Everything can change at any moment."
I fell in love with Liz and Ryan in Flawed and Damaged, and was happy to get the completion of their story.
I should have known that there wouldn't be all hearts and flowers for Liz and Ryan. After what they have already been through, I knew that things would not be easy for them.
It was a case of rinse. lather. repeat for a while with Ryan, and this frustrated me. I could understand why he did what he did, but I couldn't understand why such a smart guy would think it would be a different result each and every time!
But other than that, what a guy!
I fell in love with Ryan and Liz all over again as they - eventually - got back on track.
Fear and Scars is full of suspense, tears, love. I laughed, I loved, I shed a tear or two.
This is the conclusion of Liz and Ryan's story, but I sure would like to get more of Mark and Nina in the future.

Betting The Bad Boy is the second book in the Destiny series. It follows the same timeline as the first book (Bad Boy CEO) but from the POV of another King brother - the beginning of the book is pretty much the same as the first, but this time from a different brothers POV, and I am guessing that the 3rd brother's book will start the same way.
During the first book, we got to know Duke King through his brother Colt's POV, and his story was in the background. I was always intrigued by Duke's story (more so than Colt's) so reading this book was a no brainer.
I LOVED learning more about Duke and Grace and the series of events that brought them to where they are today, 13 years down the track. The more I got to know of Duke King, the more I adored him. After everything, he has come out fighting, come out on top, and a better man than he probably would have been. And I love their boy Ryder!
I also enjoyed seeing Colt and Levi through Duke's eyes.
I have read a few of Ms Jamison's books to date, but I think that this is my favourite so far.
I can't see what she gives us with Levi's story.

This is the second book in the Miss Match series, but these are standalone books with no overlapping characters.
I am the president of the fictional-band-groupie-club, so mention musicians in the blurb and I am in.
Love Struck is not really a rock star "rock star" book, but it is sweet, tender and very moving.
Lacy "LoveCoda" and Eli "Folx" have a beautiful online relationship and hope to make it more... but what if that happens earlier than they expect?
I adore Lacy and Eli - though at times Eli was a bit too soft for me. I wanted him to shout from the rooftops when he just seemed to let it all go by.
Lacy annoyed me at times with her flip flopping between Eli and his bandmate Jax - who really was the sex and drugs and rock and roll kind of guy.
I just wanted Eli and Lacy to get their act together!
But do they? For that you will have to read for yourself.
Love Struck was a quick, sweet, read. I just wanted to get everyone in a group hug.

Though this is the second book in the Oxford series I have not read the first and this did not take away from I Wish You Were Mine.
In fact, this is my first Lauren Layne read and I enjoyed it.
I adored Mollie from the prologue - at her sister's wedding. And as the book progressed I adored her even more. Except for one thing.
Her sister Madison is a 100% certified grade A b*^th who had a hold over Mollie that I just couldn't understand. I knew she is her sister but jeez louise she is a nasty piece of work.
Even harder for Mollie is that the guy she has been in love with forever is her sister's ex husband Jackson.
It took me a while (after the prologue) to warm up to Jackson, but once I did I could see why he stole Mollie's heart. I just wanted to give him a big old hug, or a slap around the ears depending on what he was doing at the time.
The thing that irked me though was the amount of book time given to the sister Madison. I know she is a big part of Mollie's life and was a big part of Jackson's, but it seemed it could have been her book rather than theirs at times (but this might just be me).
I adored the attraction and banter between Jackson and Mollie, and could feel the pull between them leaping off the pages.
I will definitely be going back to read the first in this series, and can't wait for more Oxfords - bring on Lincoln!

You will need to have read The Prince and The Raven first, as The Shadow follows on right where The Raven ended.
The Prince and Raven are absolutely perfect for each other. Their imperfections are what make them beautiful to the other, and you just want them to be together. Need them to fight for each other. And fight they do.
The Shadow is a suspenseful kind of read. There are things going on in the Vampyre world, things going on in the art world, things going on in Raven's world that you are not quite sure where they are going to go.
There is probably a little bit to much political stuff going on in The Shadow for my liking though - it might just be me, but I wanted more of William and Raven's beautiful love story.
We also get a tiny little glimpse of the Professor and Julieanne - I still need to know what happens there!
Just a heads up - The Shadow again ends on a bit of a cliffy, but nothing too bad!
I am really looking forward to where Sylvain Reynard takes us next in the world of The Prince and The Raven. I hope it is not too long before we find out because

I am not a huge paranormal reader, so if you are wary because it is about vampyres - don't be. The Florentine series is so much more!

I have loved the New York Saints series by Ms Scott, and I was more than happy to find out there were more books to come after the stories of the three owners were told.
Playing Hard is the first story about the players of the New York Saints.
We first met first baseman Oliver Shields in the first book, and now it is time for him to find his HEA.
Amelia - Millie - is the friend of one of the newbie players, the guy after Ollie's job.
Oliver and Amelia could not be more different, and you wouldn't expect the finance nerd to catch the player's eyes in a world of groupies and supermodels.
But that was what made them perfect for each other. Their relationship was not an easy one - especially for Millie - but I loved being taken on the journey with them.
I loved that we got more of Alex, Lucas and Mal and their ladies from the first 3 books. I love the banter between them all.
But gah, there were some characters that I really didn't like at all. Finn (Millie's friend) is a spoilt little brat who needs to grow the hell up. I just wanted to high five him in the face with my Kindle for the way he treated Millie. And Finn's sister/Millie's best friend Emma needs to open her eyes and take a good hard look around!
I am really looking forward to more in this series - the next book being Finn's. Let's hope the Ms Scott can redeem him in my eyes!
I love a sports romance, and Ms Scott has quickly become a must read for me. And the good thing about baseball teams - players get traded, retire etc all the time, so there is always new blood so she can keep on writing these fantastic stories!

I have read the Saving Liam series which this spins off from, but I suffer from such terrible bookzheimer's and read so many books, I don't remember Blue from them.
But you don't need to have read that series to read Blue.
Blue is just... wow! It is emotional read, as Blue comes to terms with the horrible things that have happened to him to bring him into Brady's world.
Brady is a saint, there is no other word for it! The things he does for a young man he doesn't know is heartwarming, and I would want to hope that I would do even a part of what he does.
Theirs is an unusual relationship at the start, but there is a connection between them that cannot be denied.
My heart broke over and over for Blue as he forged his way through life - a life that has not been easy for him at all - but there was so much hope for him that I couldn't help but smile.
Blue touches on some darker, edgier subject then I thought it would, and I loved the way they were dealt with by the author.
Now, on to read the next book, Rhythm and Blue.

Rhythm and Blue starts up where Blue finished, so you will need to read that book first.
I feel in love with Blue and Brady in the first book, and was curious to know where their story would go.
And I was not disappointed!
Blue's career that started in Blue is skyrocketing, his relationship with Brady is going from strength to strength. I just adore Blue and Brady together. It is an unlikely relationship, but one that works. It has become quite symbiotic.
It made me heart happy to see where Blue was from when we first met him. He was such a tortured soul early in the piece and to see him smiling, successful, in love was just beautiful.
I think his them song should have been Tubthumping because there really was nothing that could keep him down.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTjC6rxHz8g
We got more of the group of friends that Blue met in the first book, and I loved seeing how those relationships had blossomed - or in some cases crashed and burned.
I would love to get a little look in on everyone from these books at a later date - please?
Ms Denman drew me completely into Blue and Brady's world, and I became invested in their relationship. I needed to know what happened to them, and I did not want to put Rhythm and Blue down once I picked it up.
I really enjoyed this series, and cannot wait to see what she brings us next.

This is the 5th book in the Forever Evermore series, but you only need to read the 4th book Chosen Thief before reading Chosen Fool - but why would you want to miss out.
Chosen Fool carries on where Thief ended. I am not going to lie, it did take me a little while to get into Chosen Thief as the main character Caro took a while for me to warm up to - but I certainly did not have this problem with Chosen Fool.
Caro is smart, funny, has a wicked wit and is full of snark - I like to think that we would be best friends! But in Chosen Fool, we also see a much softer side, heartbreak and tears all around.
She has gone from the unexpected Prodigy to a bad ass chick who tells it like it is.
There were lots of questions as the end of Chosen Thief, and many of them were answered in Fool, but man oh man we were left with a lot more questions to be answered.
There were times when I thought to myself

There were some absolutely hilarious moments in Fool, particularly with the Elders - let's just say that we see them in a completely different light!
There were so many twists and turns in Chosen Fool - who do you trust? What is real?
And then Ms Dawn left us with a scene that had me all

Now I NEED to know what happens. I will be impatiently waiting for Chosen One later in the year.
