I am terribly sad that this series is over. I was skeptical before I started Throne of Glass as it's 8 books long, BUT I fell in love with it. The characters will always have a very big chunk of my heart. π₯Ή
I am in awe of Sarah J Maas and was weeping for more than 60% of the book. I gasped, screamed, swooned, laughed, and enjoyed every moment of this book. I could feel my heart trying to escape in so many instances. It was a cinematic experience at its best.
I don't usually share spoilers, but I need to talk about these characters. If you can believe, they touched me even more than ACOTAR characters, and that's something.
**Spoilers ahead**
Well, obviously, I love Aelin and her relationship with every single character, but her friendship with Fenrys broke me in all the right ways. I wept so much for Lysandra, her love for Aelin and her strength. I did not expect to love Dorian and Manon together. They felt just perfect for each other with their broken hearts. And Evangeline?? Ohh I love that brave kid. Every character touched me in ways I cannot express, be it Elide, Yrene, Asterin, Lorcan, Aedion, Gavriel, of course Rowan, and even Chaol. And that ending??? I salute you. π«‘
π«Άπ½π I don't know how SJM does it, but I need lots and lots more of her work to survive this life. ππ«Άπ½

This novella was definitely far better than I expected it to be. It had dark academia vibes to it, and I loved it far more than I anticipated. I love that it was a fully developed story on its own with properly crafted characters. I know this was released before CoN 2, but I loved reading it even at the end. I would say that maybe reading at the end was even more satisfying as I read about Vale & Lillith in the second book, and this was a nice peek into how they fell for each other.
Okay, I feel Carissa Broadbent is becoming one of my sought-after authors now. I cannot wait to read the rest of her books.
Here are my reasons for why you should read this novella:
β‘ You love dark academia vibes
β‘ You love a grumpy vampire who's devastated for the human girl
β‘ You love a daring FMC who can go to any lengths for those she loves
β‘ You love handwritten letters
β‘ You love a short yet carefully crafted fantasy read

I have been meaning to read Victoria Schwab's stories for quite some time now and wanted to try something that's currently not trending so I picked this up when I saw it on Audible Plus.
It was an enchanting, dark, magical tale that reminded me of old folklore.
Spooky? Check. Gloomy? Check. Atmospheric? Check. Chilling? Check. Mystery? Check. Witches? Check. Ghosts? Check.
Do we really need any more reasons? I guess not. The only regret I have is that I didn't read it during Halloween. That would have been perfect.

I knew I liked Carissa Broadbent for a reason but I did not expect to enjoy this so much. Here's my list of stunning things why you should read this book:
β‘ Stunning writing
β‘Addictive storyline
β‘ Fierce characters
β‘ Swooning romance
I LOVE Tisaanah and I love the author for creating such amazing fierce female leads. And Max π. He's grumpy, tortured, self-centered, caring and just AMAZING. I honestly had zero expectations when I started listening to this book. The sole reason I picked it up was the author. This is a hefty book BUT I listened to it in one day. I did nothing at all the entire day other than listen to this and I have zero regrets.

This book was epic. I have no other word to describe it. None at all. I devoured it start to finish. I just had to know what the hell happens next. I fell in love with all the female characters. I mean what was that? Hats off to the writing, the gripping story, and to certain shocking instances. This book felt like a vital piece in the story and I was in awe.
"You make me want to live, Rowan. Not survive, not exist. Live."
This dialogue was π€π½π₯. I had to pause and take a long breath. I am officially a fan of Sarah J Maas. I want to see her, go to her events, buy all her books, buy her book's merch, maybe even build a shrine for her (definitely, in my heart π).
The way the story picked up was nothing less than a masterpiece. I don't have words for the brilliant character and plot development. Just what was that?? I expect nothing less from Sarah but this was her first series and I thought maybe it wouldn't be as amazing. Wrong. I was so wrong. In short, it was perfection.
I'm reading in the romantic order so picking up The Assassin's Blade next. Let's see how that goes.
