This book was recommended by someone in my book club and I'm so glad I read it. I switched between the audiobook and paperback for this - loved the thunderstorms marking the beginning of each chapter. 

I was gripped from the first chapter. There's anticipation,  shock, betrayal, high stakes, motivation, sizzling romance, rival kingdoms, and an amazing cliffhanger.  

I love the MCs as individuals and as a pair. I felt like cheering for them to overcome their issues. I loved the plot and the characters. Just go read it already if you haven't yet.

I've been meaning to read this book for so long that when I came across it on Audible Plus catalogue, I just had to listen to it. It was an easy read or rather listen. It is YA at its core and I rarely can read YA anymore but this still left me giggling. It could probably be because of all the Twilight and Legacies references. 

Was it totally cliché? Absolutely. 
Did I have fun listening to it? Heck, yeah. It was a nice palette cleanser for me. 

You should read it if you love teen fantasy with boarding school, sexy vampires, paranormal romance, Twilight,  Legacies, easy reads, teen crushes. 

Another thing I loved about Crave? Chapter Titles. It had some amazing and hilarious titles. I'll definitely continue this series to see how the actual fantasy part of the book develops.

The story is definitely getting interesting. I should have known the author would do certain things by this point, but I was still shook when they did. I don't know how else to say that without spoiling it for those who haven't read the series yet. 

Celaena is still an amazing badass MC, and I love that about her. I love how the storyline is unfolding and how the characters are growing with it. I can't wait to see the twists and turns it'll take in the next book.

I had to read it immediately. I got my hands on it, and I did just that. I loved this book, gave it all my love, but something fell short. I'm unable to pinpoint what exactly, though. It still deserves all the love, no doubt. 

And that ending?? Umm, I did not expect that. Xaden is, as expected, amazing with his words. I swooned and what not. Tairn is still my favourite character of the story. I have my own issues with him, but I can accept that he's still badass. 

I wish there was some sort of character growth in Violet, but I think I'm okay with giving her a pass for once. I feel the third book will make or break it for me. So 🤞🏽.

Oh my goodness, I can't get over the end. I NEED the next book. It was such an epic ending. I mean hsjssksizhsus. 

The best part about this book (other than the ending and the 🌶) is how we get to know the characters in depth. I feel like I have now connected with everyone. Ruhn Danaan is 🔥. Hunt Athalar is as expected 🥵. My favourite Bryce continues to be badass, and I'm all for it.

I loved the overlapping storylines. I loved how Oraya's character grew in the sequel. She was in such a vulnerable position, yet she stood bravely and was remarkable. I wasn't okay with how vulnerable Raihn was shown initially, but I loved how it complimented the story in the end. 

The world building was decent enough with such interesting plots for future books. I am really looking forward to seeing how one particular character turns out. However, the Nightborn Duet is complete. The upcoming books will be a part of Crowns of Nyaxia storyline but not with Oraya and Raihn as their leading characters.

It wasn't an all-out dramatic ending I was hoping for, but I still liked the story.

I'm sure I read SJM's book in the order entirely opposite of what is suggested. I finally got to Throne of Glass. I've come to accept that she is my favourite author, and I wanted my "30th goal book of 2023" to be hers.  She did not disappoint.  Well, when does she, right?

I could feel that this was her initial writing, but it still has the mystery and thrill I've come to expect from her. The world building was simple, yet there's a lot of room to explore in the upcoming books. 

I like Celaena. She's badass. Even more so than Bryce. I liked her banter with Chaol and Dorian. I can't wait to see her character grow into her destiny role. 

I liked how this book was fast-paced and an easy read, and I'm glad I chose this as my "goal book".

I don't really know how to begin talking about this book. I like Ana Huang, I really do. I loved her Twisted Hate and Twisted Lies but somehow King of Wrath took me back to Twisted Love. It had some great parts, but a few slower parts that didn't work for me. I just could not connect with it. I wish there was more to the plot. It wasn't bad but just a lil lacking for me. 

The way the issue of racism and misogyny were handled was perfect. I could not get on board with the love aspect of the story. Also, I felt the insurmountable wealth showcased and the character's reaction to it in some places did not really gel well with their personality? 

The spice was spicy, there's no doubt about that. If that's all you are looking for then go for it. There are some quotes that made me feel good as well. I'm sure I'm overthinking the plot and everything. I get that every book is not for everyone. I'll still look out for the other books in the series. Maybe it'll improve like in the Twisted series? A girl can definitely hope.

This story has taken me on an emotional roller coaster ride with two amazing FMCs. Olive's and Stella's struggles were so different yet similar and very much relatable. It is such a sweet, simple, tragic and genuine story.

This book covered so many important topics in such a way that felt so natural and not at all awkward - family tragedy, unsupportive family, health issues, mental health, sexual harassment, toxic ex, self-doubt, phobia, queer romance. Just WOW!

It is not just that and much much more with fake dating, opposites attract, the amazing banter, the teasing... oohhh. As I said, an emotional roller coaster ride.

AND this is a debut novel which blows my mind. Thank you for this thoughtful yet inspiring story, Andie Burke. I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next.
