- This is on me -- I saw three people on the cover and expected a Why Choose instead of a Love Triangle which is not my usual jam
- That said, I still enjoyed it!
- The main takeaway is that people who work entertainment on a cruise ship are extremely horny
- Like, EVERYONE is hooking up
- And yet the book felt like it was barely open door (by which I mean more flowery language than I expected)? Which is fine, just not what I expected once the whole "everyone is hooking up" set up came to be
- THERE WAS SO MUCH VOMIT TALK IN ONE SCENE THAT IT MADE ME NAUSEOUS. Literally had to set the book down.
- Loved the romance between Eliza and Oscar. Loved the friendship between Eliza and Tom when they were acting like proper friends and not considering romance.

- This was an absolute delight! I was laughing THROUGHOUT
- The illustration combined with even just the lettering style really assisted with giving the graphic novel a unique voice
- Ellie was exhausting, but she did show an awesome amount of growth by the end
- Heads up to my historical romance purists, the dialogue is pretty dang modern! But they made it work really well
- LOVE that Charlotte stood up for herself and was able to find her happiness!

- Find me an Alison Cochrun book that I won't rate 5 stars - that's right YOU CAN'T
- This is such a set of wild coincidences that lead to Sadie and Mal being on this trip together that it's almost silly, and I love it
- Honestly, yelling I THINK I'M A LESBIAN to the person next to you on a plane because you think you're about to die and they seem queer, NOT dying, and then having to spend the next 2 weeks not just on a trip with said person but you're also roommates? Yes please very good
- Loved the little bad blog posts between chapters (and watching them get better as Sadie got more comfortable with everything)
- I really felt for Sadie during this book. It was basically a coming-of-age, except she's 35 and has that awful awful feeling that she's "too late" to so much of what she's learning about herself. Comphet is a real bitch

- This book made me think I love literary fiction (turns out I just love this book)
- Author uses 1st, 2nd, and 3rd person point of view changes masterfully?! Sometimes I didn't even notice it changed but when I did it would change how I felt with the whole chapter
- Audiobook narrators did a great job with this one! Love that the author took over for a short chunk, too
- Had a bit of a slow start honestly, but once I was sucked in I was SUCKED IN
- Genuinely thought I'd be uncomfortable with the book because of the premise (teacher befriends and relies on student for support while she is figuring out her transition) but the moments I was uncomfortable were addressed and overall the concept was handled really well!
- I LOVE ABIGAIL and I just know if I were teaching she would've been one of my favorite students (surprise, we do have favorites). She's kind of a bitch and we love to see it

- If I had a nickel for every time I ended up reading a book that was Destiel fan fiction, I'd have 2 nickels.
- Ben & Nic were equal parts infuriating and adorable -- and to be clear, the infuriating was mostly Nic's fault because PLEASE STOP PUTTING YOUR BOYFRIEND IN JAIL!
- That said, Nic putting Ben in jail multiple times was hilarious (until it wasn't, obviously)
- The way that the angel & demon communicated with Ben was WILD and I once again, both LOVED and HATED (complimentary) it.
- I'm okay with a lack of epilogue but I do think this one could've used it -- the ending just didn't quite feel like enough as far as the romance of it all is concerned.

- A short but very effective read on the history of tuberculosis and problems that some parts of the world are still facing due to lack of proper healthcare
- Major takeaway: We have the power to eradicate TB across the world, and racism/xenophobia/greed are all standing in the way of making it actually happen.
- A few chapters were spent focusing on the social history, ex: the romanticization of TB when it impacted the wealthy and how, once it started impacting poor people, the attitude suddenly flipped.
- Throughout the book, John connected everything to Henry and his journey as he battled TB. Truly a beautiful story throughout

- Truly love when two romances overlap so I could get some answers on WHAT WAS HAPPENING with Emma and Miles (besides sex because duh) when I was reading The Seven Month Itch
- The shift for both of them from "I can't stand this person" to really caring about the other felt natural and earned which was NICE
- EMMA'S MOTHER IS THE WORST!!!
- Found Family is super common in queer romance, so I'm always a little surprised to find it in straight stories, but especially combined with book one, again, everything just clicked and felt right
- There's this scene in a coat closet, and...hot damn.
Book was fine, probably. I simply thought I could do 2 lit fics in a row and I was sorely mistaken!

- Sage and Tenn may be one of my favorite ships from 2025 so far
- All the AIM chat stuff -- NOSTALGIA CITY
- Lovedddd the magic involved in this - one of the fun ones is that Sage is
being haunted by a ghost that is only visible to her when she cries so she's just constantly trying not to cry - Sage's family pissed me off. I know the next book is about her sister and I loved her by the end but MANNN I had a lot of moments where I was like "I don't want to see this bitch get a happy ending!"
- Yes the romance is lovely but there is also a lot of story about grief & family struggles
- Was the big drama of the romance
based on a misunderstanding ? Yes, but I honestly did not mind because they were TEENS so of course they were dumb

- When the book ended I just went “CUTE! Cute cute cute! out loud haha
- Maybe too uptight meets maybe too laidback and it leads to ISSUESSSS but they learn to communicate which is all I ever want
- I was starting to roll my eyes at Dijah’s constant fear of people finding out about her and Shea, but that was also their Big Problem so I’ll allow it
- Dijah’s sister Jah needed to BACK UPPPPPPP and mind her business cuz some of her meddling was diabolical 😂
- Obsessed with Imani (Dijah’s goddaughter) being like “oh you look at her body!” to describe Dijah’s job she was so funny
