Oooo the salacious Desperate Housewives vibes are plentiful in this one. 

While some plot points (teenage boys + 30 year old women for maybe 10 total pages) made me almost want to throw this against the wall, it did have redeeming qualities.

Just remember that we really aren’t supposed to root for any singular person when it comes to mysteries/thrillers.

Good read for a summer weekend or vacation read.

I can see why everyone loves this book. Finished in only a few hours and I found myself carrying it around the house because I didn’t want to put it down.

I’m looking forward to the next book already!

This was my second Cynthia D'Aprix Sweeney novel (the first being The Nest) and enjoyed it. I can see why Jenna Bush Hager chose it for her book club for April.

Just like in The Nest, I enjoyed seeing the complicated family and friend dynamics unfold between Flora, Julian, Margot, and David through flashbacks and present day conversations. When I read character driven books, I find that the dual timelines really help move the plot along with the tie ins between the present and the past.

Good Company is based on a simple point, when a lie is discovered, what will happen to the couple and friends involved? 

Best for: reading on the weekend and reading by the pool

For lovers of: contemporary fiction, character driven books, stories that take place in NYC and LA, stories involving actors, and domestic fiction

I highly recommend! 

A masterful and poignant deep dive into the family behind Purdue Pharma. I listened to it on audio and highly recommend as it is narrated by Patrick Radden Keefe himself. 

A must-read for anyone, but especially for anyone who works in the regulatory field within pharma or medical device. 

This would be fantastic start to a documentary on the family as well.
