I was really excited to read this book after a few of my friends raved about it and said it was one of their favorite books, however I don't think it lived up to the hype. I don't like how the writing style changed within the chapters and it made it difficult to read.

I was looking forward to reading this book because I had heard a lot of great praises about it. However, I found myself wanting more from the book. To me, this book almost seemed like a glorified soap box about how society should be. While I found the concept of the 'The Circle' interesting, I found myself annoyed with the constant nagging of Mercer, the ignorance of Mae's parents, and how unconcerned Anna seemed to be with the whole program. I also could have done without Mae's transparent live feed being a large chunk of the book. I found Kalden's storyline interesting and actually found myself thinking that he could be the final Wise Man. I didn't dislike this book, but I don't see myself rereading it or it being on the top of my reading list.
