I appreciate when an author doesn’t assume we’ve memorized every fact of a back story, but this series beats you over the head with repetitive facts and descriptions. I enjoy the plot and the characters, and will probably give #4 a go, but a lot could be edited here. Also when she’s going all out in a fight, planning to kill all witnesses, why is she not more immediately using her ultra powerful magic?

This is another Nora Roberts book set in Ireland. It, as always, was a comfortably predictable way escape life for 350 pages and I won’t complain. Also no one slept with a ghost in this one, so that’s an upgrade.

Damnit the progressive, raunchy, questing queens forever have my heart, regardless of ups in downs in storytelling. This is a series so specifically crafted to my tastes I don’t even feel like I can be objective
