Finished the audiobook on my walk today. Carrie has moments that endeared me to her, but generally I find her a bit insufferable. I do appreciate that she struggled being dropped into a world that required her to kill - an issue never particularly addressed in her father’d books. Speaking of her father, I found her parents feelings and actions toward her a bit inconsistent with the character developed in the first three books. All these complaints aside, I’ve invested in four books from this story and plan to keep going. Hopefully Carrie grows up a bit.

Love how Stevenson brings a diverse universe. Love these characters. Admittedly the artwork isn't precisely my favorite style, but between this and Lumberjanes its growing on me. It's angled and pointed style somehow fits Nimona's spirit and it appeals to me more here than in Lumberjanes.
