This series is super cheesy, which is generally a-ok with me when it's what I'm looking for. The biggest complaint I have is that the author has created a bad ass setting, a conspiracy-ridden plot, and some cool and different witchcraft abilities and she doesn't use any of them enough. The relationship is obviously the main point of the novels, but connection to those characters would be bolstered by a little more world-building. Otherwise it's just your basic romance novel.

These books sort of meander about and beyond the main character of Kitty the characters are more fact sheets than developed, but they're fun fact sheets. They're irreverent. The series a different take on werewolves and vampires, with a fun exploration of "living as a wolf" and pack mentality. I'll probably keep going with the series for the relaxation in familiar characters and circumstances.

Compared to the last installment in Kitty's story, this book is much better. It still feels as though the only character the author really cares about is Kitty, or possibly Cormac. The others feel very one-note. That said, fun and goofy. Interesting take on werewolf lore, giving it modern twists and circumstances. Easy reading!

First, it's nice to know that drinking an extra glass of wine while knitting and having to rip out the sloppy stitches the next morning it's a shared experience. Second, this book is full of chick lit cliches but I was totally endeared to it by the end. It's like Sex and the City but with one less woman and they knit. It was nice to see flawed and funny female characters but the I wish the resolution for each character wouldn't have been contingent on a man. That said, I enjoyed this book and these characters. Girly, cute, easy read.

This first half of this book, while enjoyable, creates some story points that are ignored entirely in the second half. This would make sense if the back flap blurb didn't clue the reader to the huge twist coming. As it stands I waited through half the book for the axe to drop - but when it did? Boy howdy, that's a lot of dead characters. It was exciting, violent, and way over the top, which is where this series is at its best. I look forward to the impending war because battle is where these books are most fun!

My gods, the artwork will blow your mind (both puns to the story intended). Just like the persona of a real pop star the attitudes and character traits are pushed a little hard, but the story is original and fascinating. The artwork and coloring is truly gorgeous, very much my taste.

This book was sort of a sweet and glossed over study of grief. Everything ends wrapped in a bow, but getting there is nice. Lots of good thoughtful paragraphs. The author uses flowery and poetic language but still manages to be clear and not too wordy. That is a rare skill! Will read more by her.
