this was a super light quick read about bandits and adventure and i had a really good time with it. i feel like cho could have done more with the found family aspect of it all -- there was enough discord from the beginning that i never really got that vibe, which i missed.

very very very good and wholesome wow i love them so much

I kind of wonder why I picked this one up after how much I hated The Friend Zone. I guess I liked the summary better? Maybe because it was nominated in the goodreads awards? Either way, this one was barely better. Again with the problematic bullshit, again with the main character I can't stand, but throw in some massively weird pacing and some deeply frustrating drama and suddenly the only redeemable thing about this book are the Minnesota scenes that make me nostalgic for summers at my grandparents' house driving the four-wheeler in the woods and fishing on the lake.

this was just...deeply boring. so much time spent talking about the difference between california and new york. so little time spent on developing actual chemistry or including any sort of conflict in the story

Another banger from my favorite romance author

Short and sweet and surprisingly angsty, Wrapped Up in You is the story of Hollywood leading man (think...Chris Evans?) Will Reid going home for Christmas to his closest friends and the girl he's been in love with since childhood to win her over once and for all.

I consistently really love Hibbert's portrayals of anxiety. Abbie's hesitations and *abort abort abort* thought processes are just so familiar to me and reading a romance with a love interest who just understands that about her and isn't horrified by it and is still there waiting for when she's finally able to use ye olde Rational Brain is so endearing.
