honestly i didn't like crazy rich asians (the book, loved the movie) and i wasn't liking this one either. barely a romance, wayy to many characters to keep track of. i get that the fact that they're crazy rich is the point of his novels but the constant asides to harp on and on about bullshit that didn't matter except to illustrate how rich they were for the 800th time got so boring

this was really cute and nice and it took the exact amount of time as the playlist I had on to finish it which felt a little magical
