I’d like to give a big shoutout to holly black for almost certainly my favorite vampire book to date

Oh, if only the first half of this book hadn’t been so...incredibly...boring. Because the end was pretty good! But it just took way too long to get there.

Oh, my, god, was Crown of Midnight 500x better than Throne of Glass. I mean, everyone who recommended this to me said it would get better but idek what to say. I finally decided to read this after being unimpressed by Throne of Glass to appease my sister but now I definitely understand why she loves this series so much.

Classic Ilona Andrews -- good fun, sizzling romance, lots of fighting.

May or may not have stayed up until 2am to finish it (I did.)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and actually might be more invested in Hugh's story now than I am in Kate's. I mean, I love Kate, but after nine books even the best characters can become a little played out. I've always found the psychology of the villains more interesting, and getting to understand Hugh a little more was awesome.
