This was going so well until Martin fumbled the end (get it -- it's a football joke)
I just... Our LI pulls some absolute bullsh*t, MC gets rightfully mad about it, but in the end she concludes that it's her fault for getting mad just because she has a shitty ex? Abso-f*ckin-lutely not.

this was very very cute glad to finally get one good christmas romance in this year
dude,.,..why? This felt like a story that should have been a full length book instead of the 200 page novella(?) that it is, but then like 75% of the way through, Hibbert just decided to wrap it up? It was going so well? And then? They go home for the holidays and are just...in love? All of a sudden? Hibbert usually does a really good job of having characters fall in love relatively quickly in a way that is still believable, but this one wasn't it, chief.
I have a weird relationship with Sarah Hogle wherein I was obsessed with You Deserve Each Other but hated Twice Shy so when I wasn't enjoying the beginning of this book I almost dnfed but then. I read about 10 more pages. And the most bonkers story of all time began to unfold and I had an absolute ball so ya know good things come to those who wait, I guess?
ok i had massively low expectations based on what we knew about haven going into this but that was ... really good
maybe it's just been too long since I read the first three but I just didn't vibe with this one as much as I did with the rest of the series. I'm definitely going to keep going with it but I felt like this book suffered from a court of silver flames syndrome where we spent too much time unpacking trauma and not enough time...ya know...progressing the plot
