worst one of this trilogy, but i still loved it. i think this one was just less romantic and more boring than the others.

this book was a blend of multiple POVs, consisting of Evangeline, Apollo, and Jacks with mostly Evangeline chapters and less of Jacks chapters. I think this book would've been more dreamy with more of Jacks perspective, especially since the first two books had him be around all the time and we never got anything from his perspective.

also, do i think the stuff about Jacks' True Love was retconned? yea, but i think it was done okay.

i really loved the idea of the story curse, and that epilogue was great.

never grows old

love love love

rereading this made me love so much more, especially after reading details i misssed the first time

----------------------------

this one was the best out of the entire series, caraval series included. specifically the second half was the best.

yea i wanted to fight jacks for most of this book, and miss garber took me on a rollercoaster of emotions, but that's what made it so good.

definitely will be rereading :)

yes yes yes

never gets old

----------------------------

i had rule about the books i read. don't reread a book in the same year you've already read it in. this book/series made me want to break that rule. i originally read this book in april, and i've been fighting that rule for 5 months now.

it might mess up my tags/lists, but i cannot deny that this book has a hold on me like no other book.

therefore i am changing my one rule to be: i read what i want, when i want, however many times i want, and no one can stop me.

in my third reread of this book, i've stumbled upon things i missed and have forgotten. and they have been so pleasurable to read. i cannot recommend this book more, it's amazing.

----------------------------

i liked this better than the first time reading it and it's most likely because of the fact that i've now read the caraval series. it makes this one easy to gush over and that's all i need for a 5 star rating.

finally finished this again after 3 months. i wanted to understand Nesta more before I read her book. I still don't love her, but rereading makes me indifferent towards her, which in this case is better than hate.

i've also always sympathetic towards Tamlin, since I've always thought that he did bad things because he was in a bad situation. and i still agree.

i also used to be indifferent about Lucien, but i do like him now.

regardless, i still love Feyre and Rhys above all.

i rushed through this book because it was:

1) better than Legendary since Scarlett and Julian were back in it
2) had more interesting lore
3) i wanted to get to Once Upon a Broken Heart

this was better than Legendary, but not better than Caraval

if i liked Tella, I would've loved this book like i loved Caraval

however, i do love everybody else. literally. everyone else in this book, except for the main character is top tier.

this book took way too long to finish. it's not that this book is hard to read or hard to get through, i just didn't want to read Tella's story. but i'm now very excited for Finale and the OUABH series :)

not as good as Better than the Movies, mainly because Wes >>>

i thought this was good, hooked me into it right away. the characters and their chemistry just wasn't as good as they were for the main characters in Better than the Movies.

Also, is there a new requirement nowadays to have at least a couple Taylor Swift references in the book? because i feel like every YA romance I'm reading has a few. or maybe i'm just revealing how much i'm listening to her these days.

WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO READ THIS BOOK?!
