Haley Cass novels are full of so many details and extra fluff. It is borderline too much and I do think they could use a bit of a trim, but I also can't stop reading them.

This one just didn't do it for me. The entire plot felt very....contrived. And honestly, I expected dirtier and spicier with all the trigger warnings.

Unfortunately I didn't love this one as much as the Delilah Greene Series. Still worth the read, though!

Wow, this book! This is not your typical romance novel and I appreciated the heck out of it. The entire book is told from the MMC perspective as he journeys through life, love, and relationships as an addict. It is raw and real, and I couldn't put the book down. It doesn't feel like a typical romance novel, and it doesn't follow many of the archetypes we're used to, but yet the love is there and so is the HEA. I (thankfully) have very little understanding of addiction and the trials those who love addicts deal with, and so I loved and appreciated this book and what it could teach me as well.

**Thank you Netgalley for the eARC of this book!

I loved this novella! No spice at all, but there's baking and writing and a cute little dog. Perfect cozy little read for the season.

I absolutley adore the way that Alexis Hall writes. Someone they take a topic like depression and self harm and added in an additional character who is so happy and joyful that the book still feels light while dealing with such heavy topics. Even though we should probably dislike our MMC, we still find many reasons to love him and this book.

I read this book looking for something to help me hold onto the euphoria I felt while reading Red, White, and Royal Blue over and over. While this book was great unto its own, I definitely held a bias against it not being my most favorite book. I am the villain here and shall commit to a re-read of this book so that I can better judge it by its own merrits.

FYI - While the tension is there the true spice is not.
