Campy and silly. Not my favorite of Pippa's books and it took me a long time to get into, however she saved me with the spicy scene. I think it was the combination of Pippa's spicy writing and Jacob Morgan's ...everything.
While this series is an interconnected standalone, you would get much more out of Pippa's books reading them in order. She loves to give us glimpses into the lives of the other characters and it's a lot more fun to know who is being referenced.

Pippa's books are always a bit silly and campy and oftentimes lean towards a bit immature but they also make me happy. I'm not always looking for an earth-shattering, mind-melting, shake me to my core and make me learn something about myself book. Sometimes, I just want to escape into a silly world of baseball and quirky characters. This book will do that for you.
Parts of this book are living rent-free in my head. I don't think it is necessarily the best book on the planet, but I'm not exactly sad that I read it. Its cute and gives you a fun tour around Ireland, plus add in his fun family and her quirky BFF.
So far this is my favorite book in this series. Max is so sweet and as an anxious person myself, I just related to him.
With Pippa's books you kinda have to read in order and have a good memory and I kinda suck at doing both of those things. I do love that she ties in so many characters and little quips and inside jokes, but the rate at which I read books means that I do not always retain all of those things and I'm left feeling a bit lost sometimes in her world. Because she does, in fact, create an entire world. Penny Reid does the same and it can be wonderful and I know people LOVE IT. There's just ups and downs to it for me. Its best to read Pippa's books in a burst and then wait for more to come out... at least that's how I feel about it.
I think this is my favorite of the series so far. I can't decide if I actually want to read them all again or not. Like, there's a lot of books and a lot to process. I feel like I need a name chart with a family tree each time I break out one of these books.
This book was written over 10 years ago, and it feels like it. I still read the whole series because I'm me and that's what I do, but it felt tired and somehow TOO expected for even the romance novel genre (where sometimes I want things to go exactly as expected). The idea of having three friends that of course, are one blonde, one brunette, and one redhead, annoyed me on a level deeper than was probably necessary.
