I can't figure out why I can't stop reading these books. In all honesty, they aren't even that great. But I like spice and its really low tension and even though it acts like the stakes are high, everything is resolved really quickly with like almost no buildup of tension. I think my stressy depressy brain just needed some quick and dirty smut and this filled that void. There's a lot of toxic masculinity up in this series and I definitely groaned about it a few times and just kept reading anyways.

I thought this was going to be my favorite of the series and I was wrong... By the time the book starts they are already together and we saw none of the fun parts of them finding and learning each other and so I just don't even understand how or why they love each other besides the fact that they tell us they do over and over. *shrugs*

This book reminded me why I tend to steer clear of books written before circa 2020. There's a lot that changed in the world since 2015 and the microaggressions in this book just scream out at me. Also, if one more man calls another man a pussy or says that he's pussy whipped, I might whip myself off a cliff...

I read this book in two sittings. I just couldn't put it down!

Avery has a secret, and while I had correctly guessed what the secret was I was INVESTED. Sometimes guessing correctly can feel like a bummer, but not in this case for me. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting for the news to drop. When it inevitably was revealed, I was a bit disappointed in Matt's reaction and that whole scene (it just felt a bit expected and not 100% who Matt is) but it does not deter the 4 stars I give this book.

I loved it, and would definitely recommend the book and author to others.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Loved this sweet novella!

screaming, crying, kicking my feet, giggling

I'm sad that this is a book and not a movie. Like, I want to SEEEEEE all of this
