The story moved in weird chunks to me, and I got really confused on the timeline a few times. It felt slow, but then all of a sudden we'd be at a new day and I didn't understand how we got from point A to B. Also, I never truly believed with my soul that these two fell head over heels for each other. It was enough to keep my interest and I read the whole book, but I just didn't connect deep with it or the two main characters.
For some reason I read all of these books and now I can't get those hours of my life back.
I seem to have a hard time with Christmas books in that I tend to not fall in love, but that was not the case here! This may be my current favorite Christmas book. I don't think it's a perfect book, but damn was it a delight to read. It's a second chance, brother's friend read and it just gave me feels. But also not too many feels, if you know what I mean.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Take a Hallmark movie and add spice, and you've got this book. I COULD.NOT.PUT.IT.DOWN. and I got all teary reading about all the mom stuff. I know that the author is a mom because I could just FEEL the struggles in the book and I related so hard.
Andre isn't my favorite of Morgan's Book boyfriends (that title is reserved for Nick, thankyouverymuch) but this woman can write a damn spicy scene and I'm here for it.
