Lauren Blakeley's books have always been a great easy, steamy read for me and this was no exception. There's always some quirky banter and enough emotional connection for me to get into the stories, but they also do not tear my heart apart...which sometimes I just truly truly love and appreciate.
There are so many characters, back stories, and storylines that reading this was kind of a mess for me. I did not connect with anything and even the spice wasn't really worth the read for me.
A cute book with a little steam. It was an easy read with fun characters and a story that kept me interested.
SQUEAL!!!!! I love this audio series by Cara Bastone. They are completely PG and all about the meet cute and its just death by adorableness all over. As soon as the book is complete, I feel all warm and fuzzy and literally have to hold in a joyful scream.
Whelp, I'm obsessed. The body positivity and love of self found in this book made me feel so wonderful and proud of my own body. We all have things we don't always love about ourselves, but those things do not make us less loveable. In fact, someone out there might just find that our most wonderful feature. The writing was wonderful and I connected with the characters right away.
I'm just not really a novella lover, but this was a great way to quickly finish up my work day.
The end chunk of this book placed it in the 4star instead of 3 star category for me. I would call this book more of a women's fiction and less of a romance novel since there's so much focus on her life. For the first half I didn't even know when the romance would start.
This book starts strong and just keeps going! The main characters have that whole hate/love thing and its explosive. I'm immediately picking up the next in the series.
