I had a really hard time getting into this book. I kept convincing myself to keep reading because I'd heard good things about it. It's a very slow burn where he doesn't even have a clue he might like her for like half the book, but once he figures it out I was hooked. He's so quirky and ridiculous and I did love that aspect of it. And the spicy scenes were worth the build-up (it's like a 2-star spice, but it was hot). It is nice to read about characters that are average and not stick thin. She's not this model perfect person, and he has his own flaws. It's not my favorite book of all time, or anything but it was still a good read.

I just dont think this book was for me. I'm not the audience and that's okay.

This is a fun romance read with a bit of a mystery entwined along with it. I listened to the audiobook and, as always, Kelsey Navarro does a fantastic job. The location of the story felt magical and wonderful, and I really loved that part. However, I didn't get that wonderful ache in my chest with these two main characters. I just didn't quite fall in love with them. When I REALLY love a "he loved her first" book, I have a heavy butterfly feeling in my chest when they speak to each other and I just never quite got there with this book. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the read!

This book took awhile for me to get into. At first the characters just felt so similar to me and I couldn't remember who was who and what was going on, but as soon as things started to get going I was hooked and loved it. Both characters go through their own arcs discovering their own identity and how their sexuality fits into that and I really appreciated it.

Nothing super hard hitting or overly emotional, but this book was a delight to listen to. I enjoyed listening to Eden's growth and her coming out journey. The book has some angst but is still very sweet to listen to.

I usually read nothing but smut, so please note there is basically zero of it in this book series. However, the drama and royalty of it all hooked me really quickly. With an average romance novel, you know who is ending up with who immediately...this is not that book series.

I really liked this book! Both characters were so wonderful with all their personalities and flaws. I connected with both for different reasons. Also, the spice was great!

I love a he falls first and she doesn't realize it book! This was sweet and kind of swoony and fun with all of the romance book talk. Its an easy read with not a lot of big, heartbreaking feelings - a good palate-cleanser book!

I know I shelved this as a 3 star spice, but its really more like a 2 or a 2.5 maybe? It was a good amount of spice and it was done well. The characters, including the side characters, are fun to be around and I find myself happy that there's a third in the series because I need to know everything about all the families involved. Also, I need fanfic art of their fanfic and also more images of Miche and Gabe to drool over. I'm certain they are pure fire.

Listened to this during quarantine and loved every moment of it. It gave me something to look forward to and I hid from my family folding laundry to finish it! I read the others in this series, and this is the first one I listened to and I think this one is my favorite of the series. Sometimes it's hard to tell when I switch mediums like that but I just really liked this story. The first two books, I truly enjoyed the premise of the story but I felt as if the writing could have been stronger. Here, I didn't think that at all. I was fully invested and not at all distracted by writing choices. I loved the breakdowns of romance tropes within the book itself. It made me smile. I will continue to recommend this series!
