My quirky nerd heart adored this read. This is not a steamy book at all, which I feel the need to clarify as that is normally ALL I READ. But, I would gladly read this again. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about yet another Cinderella retelling but I am here for this one.

I do not understand the appeal and hype that everyone had over this book. I was left feeling icky after reading this.

I will recommend this book to any and all parents. I would list this book as a handy guide for anyone interested in figuring out what gentle parenting is and gathering some tools along the way. It is set up in a handy format that will allow you to read a chapter and focus on just one thing at a time.

This book was just not my jam. I couldn't get into it and it took me forever to finish.

If you love a good dirty talker and some spicy scenes with a feisty female MC, then this is the book for you!

This book was an adorable, gender-bent retelling of My Fair Lady. It is a very easy read, and I flew through it. My issue with the book is that most of the struggle happened off the pages. The struggle is where most of the intrigue and connection to the characters comes from, and because this book was missing it I never felt the deep connection with them. The tension that I have come to love in romance novels only picked up at the end of the book. I do admit that by the end I was reading as fast as I could and feeling that pull that I love. The epilogue wrapped the book up in a sweet and nostalgic way. The book definitely feels like an old romance movie, and it was a wonderful book to read on my holiday break when nostalgia is exactly what I'm looking for.

I really want to love novellas, but most of the time it's just not enough for me to connect and fall in love with characters. This did a good job of starting from a place of friends and so the HEA didn't come barreling out of nowhere. Like so much of Talia Hibbert's books, I appreciated the vulnerabilities and inclusion in the book.

I read this book in two sittings. I just couldn't put it down!

Avery has a secret, and while I had correctly guessed what the secret was I was INVESTED. Sometimes guessing correctly can feel like a bummer, but not in this case for me. I was on the edge of my seat just waiting for the news to drop. When it inevitably was revealed, I was a bit disappointed in Matt's reaction and that whole scene (it just felt a bit expected and not 100% who Matt is) but it does not deter the 4 stars I give this book.

I loved it, and would definitely recommend the book and author to others.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

The story moved in weird chunks to me, and I got really confused on the timeline a few times. It felt slow, but then all of a sudden we'd be at a new day and I didn't understand how we got from point A to B. Also, I never truly believed with my soul that these two fell head over heels for each other. It was enough to keep my interest and I read the whole book, but I just didn't connect deep with it or the two main characters.

Tessa Bailey sure knows how to write a steamy scene, and this book is no different. This was a re-read for me and it was just as much fun the second time.
