I wanted to love this so hard that I read it twice, but I just LIKED it. Honestly, the bonus scene in the back with Fox and Hannah was almost more fun for me. (I love me a friends to lovers!)
The book tried to make Piper this sparkling goddess that everyone loves, but I just couldn't connect with her. I never fell in love with her.
There's a good amount of spice and steam in the book, it is Tessa Bailey after all!
Overall, I liked the book but I'm not swooning.

A sweet quick read. My favorite movie is You've Got Mail, so I feel wildly biased in loving this book. It made me feel all gooey and nostalgic.
There's so much to this book, and it's different from my normal romance reads. It's heavy and sad, but also beautiful. This book deserves a second read just to grasp onto all it offers.
I read this book looking for something to help me hold onto the euphoria I felt while reading Red, White, and Royal Blue over and over. While this book was great unto its own, I definitely held a bias against it not being my most favorite book. I am the villain here and shall commit to a re-read of this book so that I can better judge it by its own merrits.
FYI - While the tension is there the true spice is not.

My least favorite in the Modern Love series. The other two books felt very steamy and this one just didn't go there so I felt a bit disappointed.
I was truly over the moon for The Kiss Quotient, but just couldn't get there with this book. I'm still very much looking forward to the third in the series.
