Wow, what a book. I really like the storyline. Can you imagine a world were love is seen as something bad? And where you can get cured from it, so never feel it? I wouldn't want to live there.. But in the beginning, Lena does. And how the world is explained, you do get how she thinks.
What I like about this story is the crazy idea that is turned into something so normal. The suprises this story brings.. It had romance but not in a soft way, it has tension in a way you hold you breath.. I can;t wait to read part 2 and 3, I'm planning a trip to the library tomorrow!

Ik ging 'even' lezen. Oeps, uit. Hihi.
I really liked this read. It paints the picture of a whole world, that's why it is possible that the origins of the tv series and the movies is such a little cute book. It is a collection of columns. I really liked it to have read the basis of the phenomenon SatC.

I loved the love story that is part one, and than the second book started as a survival story.. I didn;t liked that. But at 3/4, the love sneaked back into the story and the storyline developed great. I was completely in love with the story (pun intended with these series!), and than the end of the book came. Oh my, so happy I have the prequel already at home from the library!
I liked this story much better than the second one! In this one, love is more central again, it is not just survival and war. It's also a broader sence of love than just the romantic one. I really liked it that Hana is back. Because you read chapters from her perspective, you wonder what will happen that her life suddenly matters for the story..
I didn;t liked the ending that much. the story is closed wonderfully, but the stories between the characters are all unfinished, and I dislike that. It is an end, but not an ending.

This was like any other Deaver. During the book, a regular 3* police thriller. But at the end.. wait what just happend omg another plottwist my brain can't handle this! Deaverworthy again, love love love this kind of things!
So, this was one big disappointment..
I couldn;t relate to Kate in this novel on multiple levels. In the first two books, I could relate to her. What she was experiencing, how she was reacting to it, I understood her. But in this book, it was different.
A lot of people were like wow what an ending of this story, of these series, but it felt more meh to me. It wasn't very satisfying. I'm experiencing a book hangover right now, but not the good one..

Spoiler
Everything was always about her son, and I don't have a kid, so it is harder to relate to that. Also, it was striking how James pointed it out: she has a martyr complex and I couldn't relate to those thoughts at all. She was so stupid all the time!A lot of people were like wow what an ending of this story, of these series, but it felt more meh to me. It wasn't very satisfying.

I love how funny this book is.
When you see Clarkson on Top Gear, you think he's just some bloke who can talk about cars and be rude, but when you read his columns you realise why he is such a succesfull carjournalist. He's not that rude in his writing. But he is very funny. It's not a good idea to read this book in a place where you have to be silent...
Clarkson is also very good at making a switch from talking about something that is happening in for example politics on the moment of writing an a new car, soms even in one sentence. And it makes sense. He's a very good writer.
