Utterly disappointing. Yes, this is an interesting book about all kinds of addictions. But it presents itself as a book about smartphone addiction with tips and tricks to help you deal with it, and it does not live up to that self-help expectation.

I had some good tips, for instance the app tracking app, which is really confronting about how many minutes you spend on what apps and how often you open them. But everything I learned from this book could have been summarized in an article for a magazine. And that is not what I read a book for.

Not 1* because I read some interesting examples and learned a few interesting things, but it was completely not what I expected it to be. Bummer.

SO, I listen to audiobooks from the library on my way to and from work. So, when I was scrolling to the forth book and I spotted this one, i decided to listen to another book, one my colleague likes, and to get some variation.

Bad decision.

It was read very very badly. No emotions, and the intonation of the quotes was just a bit off. So the whole book felt a bit weird. The story did not really grab me, until the last of the 8 hours. I wanted to get to know how the story developed from point a to b and then to point c, but my interest was not very high. So an average 3* for the book and a -1* for the bad reading.

OK, yes, I finished this morning. But I've read 85% of this book in 2016, and it feels more honest for the reading challenge to shelf it in 2016 :)

Again, I've highly enjoyed this Talonbook. I still very much like the dragon-human transformation. I still like the love triangle (how weird to write this), because I still like both boys. The plot is still very interesting, very evolving, and I got surprised while reading this book. I like all the twists. I've enjoyed reading the epic battle at the end, I've read it with one hand covering my mouth in shock over what I've read.

I can't wait for the next book, but I will wait for the translation and after that for the library so that will take some month after the English release I guess.

I've enjoyed reading this book so much and I have nothing that I wish was different, so I just give it 5* because it was such a good read :)

Oh, I enjoyed reading this book so much! It is such a good sequel, it does NOT suffer from second book syndrome! And I did not mind the love triangle at all (wh00t) because I like both boys XD it is a really quick read, lots of cool stuff is happening, I still love the dragon human thing a lot, and I'm really glad I've got the next book at home from the library! What a great series. Highly recommend them.

Ik was op 70% en ik snapte de hype van dit boek nog niet helemaal. Ik vond het een gewone thriller. Oh, maar toen begreep ik het. Wat ongelooflijk cool en gaaf! Heel origineel. Maar het einde was niet helemaal tevredenstellend voor mij. Een erg goede thriller, dat zeker, maar niet de beste ooit ofzo voor me.

Mijn collega Amber drukte me dit boek in handen. Ik moest het lezen want ik zou het leuk vinden. En ze had gelijk! Wat een heerlijk boek is dit ^^ Lekker nerdy en geeky.

Als je een beetje een computernerd bent of er affiniteit mee hebt en/of als je in de jaren '80 bent opgegroeid, dan vind je dit een heel leuk boek. Een nerdy contemporary, genieten!

Ook vind ik dat het denken en handelen van een 14-jarige heel goed beschreven is, zo is het soms gewoon, die verwarrende pubertijd. Goed gedaan!

Alles aan dit boek schreeuwt 5* voor mij, maar er was iets in het plot waardoor ik een ster heb afgetrokken.

Waarom moest ze zwanger zijn? Waarom kon ze niet gewoon dik zijn? Dat had het verhaal voor mij mooier gemaakt. En je hoeft geen plothole over te houden, want je kunt ook best niet zwanger worden na de sex. Het is een mooie les dat het kan gebeuren, ja, maar ik had het mooier gevonden als dat niet het geval was, als jullie begrijpen wat ik bedoel.

Wat ik dan wel weer mooi vond is dat

ze niet winnen, maar toch weer wel. En dat het verhaal niet ophoudt waar het boek ophoudt, maar dan op zo een manier dat je voor je ziet hoe het verder gaat. Heel fijn :)

Normaal ben ik niet meer zo een fan van chicklits. Ook deze vond ik in bepaalde verhaallijnen wel voorspelbaar, zoals dat

ze eindigde met de leuke knappe kerel, dat ze wraak kon nemen op de baasbitch en dat andere mensen aardig bleken te zijn

. maar de humor van Lisette Jonkman is ZO geweldig, ik heb meerdere malen hardop zitten lachen, ik heb het boek verslonden, het was enorm goed voor mijn humeur, ik kan gewoon niet anders dan dit de volle bak 5* geven!

Ik was een keer met mijn moeder in een babywinkel op zoek naar een kraamcadeautje. Ik zag dit boek, sloeg het open op blz 1 en als een stortvloed aan herinneringen kende ik ineens het hele verhaal weer. Een echte klassieker waarvan ik erg blij ben dat mama er ter plekke eentje voor me gekocht heeft voor later :)
