Tigerclaw’s Fury:
Definitely recommend reading this one following Rising Storm. It’s interesting to see Tigerclaw’s perspective on leaving ThunderClan, but his motivations don’t quite align with the Tigerclaw we know from the main series. Also, there are numerous continuity errors, such as referring to a cat by the incorrect name.

Leafpool’s Wish:
This is a truly heartbreaking and tear-jerking story. It’s wonderful to see Leafpool’s perspective on her situation and to feel just how much she cares for the kits she had to give up. Squirrelflight is truly sister of the decade. She gives up so much to protect her nieces and nephews and give them the kithoods they deserve. I also loved seeing that Jaykit is observant and inquisitive from the moment he is born. He has become one of my favorite characters.

The foreshadowing and build up of the fiery conclusion to this book are next level. Another action-packed and gripping installment. Seeing Cinderpelt finally settling into her new place in ThunderClan with Yellowfang’s guidance is so heartwarming. I love these characters so much.

An interesting glimpse into Tigerstar’s manipulation and tyranny through the eyes of a former kittypet. Once again, Tigerstar’s motivations seem a bit misaligned with that of the main series. I felt many of the character choices in this volume were confusing. Sasha is an interesting character though and I look forward to seeing more of her.

This one had my attention from the very start. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for what happened next. The conclusion was well-worth the wait. However, there were multiple moments in this installment that I felt severely uncomfortable reading. I am struggling to understand some of the character choices made for Bluestar.

This volume was a bit boring. Most of the story centered around Sasha’s inner monologue and analysis on the world around her. I would have liked to see more action, but I still enjoyed it and am looking forward to the third volume.

I loved this expansion of Feathertail’s character! She is so complex and real. I adore her. It’s great to see her viewpoint on the events that transpired during Tigerclaw’s takeover of RiverClan and her recovery from the trauma those events caused. As always, the artwork is absolutely stunning.
