It started off very weak, but slowly got stronger. The story was meh. The romance was…uncomfortable. She’s married to his father? Gross. This book was incredibly sexual and vulgar. Even as a spicy romance reader, it made me uncomfortable. The people with the power of the gods are given such power because that god had a threesome with their parents? Ick. I also could have done without the constant dick jokes. The plot felt like a constant cycle of “oh no we’re in danger” over and over. There was hardly a moment to breathe. Not sure if I’ll continue with this series. I don’t understand why so many readers praise this book so highly. I liked all of the Norse mythology references though.
