This fell so short and I really didn’t care for the reasoning behind all of this happening. The plot just felt really clunky. I hated how back and forth the story felt between POVs. It felt random to me and rushed.
And do 5 year olds really speak like this? Skye seemed so aware, I kept forgetting that she was only 5 years old. The way that child spoke and interacted with people sometimes just felt like she was more around 7-10.

This was good but it felt long to me and almost started to drag on. If I didn't feel that way about it I probably would've given 4/5 stars.
