Despite having had mixed feelings about Woman Last Seen I was intrigued when I saw this one would be the follow up to it. The ending of WLS in particular wasn’t for me so I was hopeful this would help explain more and it totally did. You could easily read this one its own though too, events from the previous books are explained throughly and this was better than the first for me anyway.

There are several viewpoints here and while most are clear cut and make sense to the story the perspective of Stacie threw me off at first. She didn’t seem to be connected in any way but as things moved along I saw where she would probably fit in and I was right. So slightly predictable and the storyline overall is a little outrageous but overall I had fun with this one. The author tends to write slow burn mysteries that always feel a bit long and drawn out, but if you really wanna settle in with a book this may be for you.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a thriller than I enjoyed as much as this one, damn this was so good. I was hooked instantly and then the really early twist really had me captivated and my attention never wavered the entire time. I didn’t reread the synopsis before I started and I think that amped up my enjoyment even more, something about not knowing at all what to expect was so fun and just kept me super engaged. So the less you know the better here but if you like con stories, lots of well executed twists and turns and a smart mystery that will leave you guessing throughout this was really great!

To say I’ve been highly anticipating the second book in the Whitlock family series is putting it mildly, I’ve been totally dying for this book and it did not disappoint! Single parent has my number one trope this year and this book gives you two single parents 🥰 Both Addison and Grady are widows so their stories are super emotional, but this one definitely wasn’t all sad, it was charming, sexy and sweet too. Single parent means a cute kid and Jett and Elodie were beyond adorable. You also get fake dating and while it’s apparent from the start there’s nothing fake about their feelings, it takes these two a little time to figure their shit out. If you’ve been wondering about Addy since the Rose Canyon series you’re gonna be delighted, she seriously cracked me up and appearances by past characters was just so fun. This made me swoon, (especially that ending!) and if anyone deserves an incredible HEA it’s Addy and Grady. I need book 3 asap

I wasn’t sure about this one at first, the adventure side of things had me hesitant. But the cover alone made me take a chance (hello gorgeous!) and I’m so so glad I did because I really enjoyed it. If you liked The Mummy or Indiana Jones I think you’ll like this too. It’s enemies to lovers with lots of fun banter and some seriously funny scenes. It’s also sexy and smart and I was surprised by how much I liked the archeologist side of things. It was interesting and the cultural aspect of Mexican people was handled very well too. I had a blast with this, a perfect escapist read. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
