I loved the first book in this series and I think I liked this one even more, it was so good to be back in Montana with The Blackwells! Skyla is in hiding from a stalker and y’all already know I love a side of suspense in my romance and this one was really good. Beckett tries for a bit before Skyla gives him a chance and I admired his patience with her. He reads romance books to her for god’s sake, he cannot be any more perfect, I mean how cute and sexy is that?! I love how the author always gives nods to other romance writers and the way it was done here was sooo good. I’m def hooked on this series and this family and cannot wait for book three! If you like small town spicy romance with lovable characters and cute animals this is a must.

I really wanted to love this one—it sounded so good and exactly like the type of read that usually works for me. An island setting and a woman looking into the death of her fiancé? Sounds right up my alley. But I think this was a case of me not having the right expectations.

It’s being billed as a twisty thriller, and I just don’t see that. At best, it’s a slower-paced suspense novel, but it lacked the fast pacing and intensity I expect from a true thriller.

I did enjoy the setting and thought the author did a great job crafting a beautiful and somewhat creepy atmosphere. She’s also a strong writer, and certain parts really drew me in. Unfortunately, many other parts pulled me out of the story. I normally enjoy multiple timelines, but there wasn’t a clear switch between past and present here—the transitions felt abrupt and disorienting.

If you like slow-burn suspense with a heavy side of grief, you may enjoy this more than I did.

This is a great pick for a summer beach read—it has a little something for everyone. The setting is ideal, there’s romance, complicated family dynamics, complex friendship dynamics, and even a light mystery surrounding the death of a resident. What more could you want? For me, in a summer read, nothing honestly.

There are three women at the center of the story—Juliana, Taylor, and Nicola—and I thought all three were fairly well-developed and interesting in their own right. I’ve seen a couple of people say this one is wordy, and maybe it is a little bit, but I got strong Elin Hilderbrand vibes from all the detailed descriptions—not just of the current setting and events, but also of the women’s pasts.

I enjoyed how their storylines intertwined and loved the sometimes dramatic twists the story took. All in all, this was an easy summer read with some depth and smarts that I really enjoyed.

This series just keeps getting better with each book! I love how it’s both sweet and heartwarming but also angsty and emotional, satisfies me no matter what mood and I’m and the audio version was a blast to listen to while I did chores. Savannah Peachwood and Gregory Salinas are both pros and they really shined here. Both Lilah and Emmett have dark and tragic pasts with deep emotional scars and I wanted them to find love and happiness together so badly. Emmett’s surprise daughter, Lucy was the cutest little dolly and her bond with Lilah was precious. There was a dash of suspense with the plot line here and I loved the added drama and danger it brought to an already high stakes story. Clearly I adored this and if you like small town angst try it!

Ahh I looovveeedddd this one, it was such a beautiful love story with a fun premise and an ideal summer setting. The idea that Nadia and Marco agree to date for a month and one month only was intriguing and of course you know that won’t work, but the fun was seeing these two oblivious cuties fall in love anyway. As much as this was sweet and adorable it has a ton of depth and deals with some dark and series issues as well. Marco has a trouble history with substance abuse and Nadia is battling a chronic illness and I have to say, the author handled this stuff with grace and care. The portrayal of Nadia’s lupus felt very authentic and raw and added so much emotion to this story. If you want a beachy, summertime romance with heart and depth try this it was SO good!

This was such an epic ending to a series I’ve absolutely adored and I’m SO sad it’s over. I knew the final book would be amazing and it exceeded my expectations by a lot and they were already very high. I’ve been curious for what feels like forever about Maddie and Al’s relationship and all the answers to my burning questions were wrapped up perfectly. Their history was even more complicated and heartbreaking than I was expecting and it made so much sense for both of their characters. There has been a high stakes suspense storyline woven throughout the entire series and things finally come to a head here. The combination of tension regarding that plot line and having the entire Redleg family together for much of the book was just perfect. I adore these characters and love the humor, the found family, the spice and the authentic way the author writes. Def don’t start here but you should read the whole series because it’s excellent and the audio for all are 🤌🏻💋 This installment is narrated by Aiden Snow and Emma Wilder and wow they were cast so perfectly as Maddie and Al. This story was emotional and they both captured those feelings so well, and then the next minute Aiden is growly and I’m 🫠 Emma has the sweetest voice and sounded exactly how I imagined Maddie would. Clearly I loved this one, again listen to the whole series on audio if you like witty and smart romantic suspense!

Despite the over the top premise this was such a fun popcorn thriller! Yes, you have to suspend all the disbelief but for sheer entertainment value? Perfect for a summer poolside read. I loved the drama surrounding the entire plot line here, it was juicy and delicious and kept me flipping the pages. The pacing was fast and furious and the multiple POVs kept me on my toes, I really had no idea which direction things would go and it was a wild ride. If you like addictive and twisty thrillers with drama and intrigue try this, such a fun one!

This was such a great family drama, especially on audio! It’s narrated by Julia Whelan who is always phenomenal but paired with the authors character driven story, it was magic. I loved getting to know these characters and their struggles and dreams and really enjoyed my time with this one. If you like stories about found family that follow characters through really low lows and some highs all while exploring family dynamics try this.

I’ve been a bit all over the place with the authors books as far as ratings go but I’m so happy to report that she’s back with a hit here for me! It’s an absolutely perfect summer romance that swept me away and I loved watching Alice and Charlie fall in love, so swoony. The narrator was fantastic and made an already enjoyable read that much sweeter. Add to your summer TBR for sure!

How can this author write some of the best hockey romances AND solid thrillers?! Peoples talents truly amaze me 🤩 I love the premise here, a single mom is dating a guy and out of nowhere he dumps her via text. Rude. He forgot to turn his location off (very The Black Dog coded iykyk) and she decides to see what he’s up to and turns out he’s dead. Now she’s a suspect and that’s pretty much all you need to know. I liked Rowan’s character and found her easy to empathize with, she came across as intelligent and just wanted to clear her name and find out who killed her ex. Her relationship with her teenaged daughter read as authentic too so the characterization was on point for me as well. The story itself def kept my attention and went in unexpected directions. I did figure out whodunnit ahead of time but it was still a fun ride. This was a pretty slow burn with action in the last quarter that picked up the pacing but overall a solid thriller that I enjoyed.
