This would be the perfect read for someone who wants a little bit of everything because this has romance, some mystery, family drama, secrets and a dash of magic. Both Julia and Matt are complex characters with complicated pasts and the author did an excellent job at weaving their narratives together. The story itself is quite intricate as besides Julia and Matt both of their grandmothers stories are told over the course of the book. The familial relationships here are so heartbreaking and there are so many subjects explored here from dementia to drug abuse to abandonment issues and many more. It’s also about second chances and forgiveness and it’s highly emotional for both Julia and Matt. I always say the authors books are a perfect summer escape and this was no exception, it’s fresh and unique. The audio version is narrated solely by Amanda Leigh Cobb and she’s delightful. I’ve listened to her before but it’s been awhile and she has a very engaging style.

Such a bittersweet review because I’m sad this in the last book in the series 🥹 I’ve been obsessed with the Whitlock family since book one and Brynlee’s story was well worth the wait. She’s the only girl in her family with three older brothers and if you’ve read this series you know what lovable pain in the asses these men are so damn if she didn’t deserve some happiness. Marriage of convenience is sometimes silly for me, the reasoning behind can be hard to get behind but here it did make sense and the my wife moments were everything. (Especially in the audio version with Teddy Hamilton as Crew, good lord 🫠 Stella Hunter as Bryn was perfection too, she’s always incredible.) Other tropes include second chance, small town, billionaire and single parent. It’s like Corinne took all of my faves and wrote this one just for me. Bryn and Crew’s story was emotional and tender, they just had so much love for each other and the grand gestures made possible by his billionaire status were epic. The ending made me cry because things came so full circle and the bonus epilogue was everything I wanted for this family and more.

I just adore this series, it’s the absolute cutest and every time I’m reading one of the books I’m all giggly and happy. This one follows King and Saylor and they were adorable. Their story is friends to lovers, brothers best friend so some forbidden vibes and why is that trope always so hot? It’s all the sneaking around 🥵 I liked that they had such a strong bond after years of a close and special friendship, a good foundation for their romance. Saylor opens a romance bookstore in Magnolia Falls and it’s absolutely dreamy, if I didn’t already wish it was a real town I sure do now. King is the most loyal guy and he’s protective and caring with Saylor, again the cutest. Beefcake stole the show as usual and it’s always fun to see what the guys of RoD are up too. The little shoutout to Willow Aster’s Landmark Mountain series was also so fun!

It’s been a long wait between book three and book four of this series but I can say it was definitely worth it. While you could read this as a standalone I don’t recommend it. The first three books are really great and the character development of Caitlin is so good so you would be missing out. This one starts out a little on the slow side but that doesn’t last too long so be patient because it’s worth it in the end. The case itself is fascinating and I had no idea how everything would end up connecting and I definitely didn’t predict it at all. Dueling serial killers is so creepy and the suspense was solid. I do wish we would’ve gotten more of Caitlin’s personal life but being back with her in any capacity was still great. If you like dark thrillers, behavioral analysis type of crime fighting and clever plots this was excellent.

This is the third book in a series and while the first two books are a duet and must be read in order, you could probably read this one on it’s own. But then again, the duet was really freaking good so I say read all of them. This series was my introduction to Brit Benson and I’m so impressed! She writes really some emotional and devastating romance that I’m so into. I’ve been so curious about Sam and have been dying to hear her story and phew I wasn’t prepared for the upheaval and emotions it would bring. I’m not always big on angst but it worked for me here because there were some really good reasons for it and the author did such a good job at showcasing a variety of emotions in these characters. Sam is such a strong person and learning her backstory about broke me, such painful stuff. The patience Chris has with her was so sweet and tender, he’s patient and kind and the only man who could crack Sam’s tough exterior. Adored them together and their hard fought HEA was too good. Desiree Ketchum really brought the emotions in her portrayal of Sam, she was so good and the raw vulnerability in her voice gave me goosebumps at times. Austin Stone as Chris was also incredible, sometimes when a narrator laughs during a scene it’s kinda cringey and his deep chuckle was cute and sexy, again so good!

This book is a total mindfuck, I really had no idea what was happening or where it was going the whole time but I kind of loved that aspect honestly. It kept me on my toes for sure! I think just knowing the setup is really all that’s important, a young couple answers their door to a family saying they used to live in the house, can they come inside for a few minutes? Things spiral from there in unexpected and unsettling directions, this was truly creepy with so many of my own personal fears being unlocked but somehow I still could not put it down. It’s fast paced, almost furiously so and combined with a mounting sense of dread and total uneasiness, it was pretty damn good in a what the fuck is going on kind of way. My rating would have been even higher but there were quite of few questions left unanswered and an ambiguous ending, but maybe I’m just stupid. Anyway, this was original and truly scary and I can’t wait to see the Netflix movie version.

Every time I finish one of the authors books I always think, well that was just lovely. She writes such warm and welcoming novels with heart and I always end up with a smile on my face, a real feel good read. This follows four women who are all struggling with some aspect of their lives who all start a book club together. It quickly becomes about more than books for them and they support each other in many ways. The characters all range in age from younger mothers to women in retirement age so it gives most people a character to relate to and connect with. I loved getting to know these women and thought everyone had such a cute and fun story

I’ve been a fan of the author over the past few years and when I saw she was switching things up and writing a rom com I was super excited to see what she would do. Also the fact that it’s based on a TikTok she made that went viral? 🤌🏻💋Natalie and Rob are MOH and BM at their friend’s wedding and she finds out he gave her novel a one star rating on Goodreads. SUCH a good premise and it just gets better from there. I absolutely loved the structure, its split into several parts and follows both of them over a ten year period at pivotal points in their lives. As much as it’s a romance it also heavily focuses on friendships and the structure really allowed the author to show the development of all the characters over the years. It’s also really charming and funny manages to have a ton of depth that never felt too heavy. If you like slow burns, lots of humor and memorable characters this was fantastic

Ruth Ware is hit or miss for me so I never really have any expectations when I read one of her books because it could be a five star or a two star. I didn’t even read the synopsis, I just went in blind and I’m so glad to say this one worked pretty well for me. I listened to this one (thank you @simon.audio and @gallerybooks 💙) and I think that was a good choice because most times I feel like the authors books are a bit long and audio just makes them better for me. Plus it’s narrated by Imogen Church and she is incredible! The setting was perfect for a summer thriller, a remote island in Indonesia where a group of couples has gathered to film a reality show. There are quite a few characters to keep track of but this just added to the tension with so many different personalities trying to survive in dire conditions. I thought the twists were solid and pretty surprising and the diary entries were such a fun addition to the format. Overall this felt more like the authors earlier books to me which are some of my faves

I know so many of us are huge fans of the authors books and if you are, then you know while she usually writes thrillers, she switches things up within the genre from time to time. I would classify this one as a romantic thriller, similar vibes to her book, Hemlock, so if you like a dash of spice with your thrills try this. As always I don’t want to say much about the plot details because KMod packed so much into this short and fast paced read, BUT I will say that is super fast paced with short cliffhanger style chapters and a couple POVs. Both viewpoints had me hooked, I was desperate to see where everything was going and I definitely never predicted the outcome. I better stop there but if you need a weekend binge read look no further
