Give me a grumpy hero and I’m 🫠 every single time and Andrew was a quintessential grump. Kelsey was pure sunshine even if she uses cheer to mask some deep pain, I so felt for this woman. This also has surprise pregnancy, but it’s not his which is my favorite kind of surprise pregnancy. There’s something about the way a man stepping up to take care of a woman and child that isn’t his that just makes me swoon. Add in age gap, small town, cowboy, found family and sisters best friend and this one was great! If you like those tropes and a side of drama too, give this a try
I will always read a book if it has mommy drama, especially if it surrounds their kids school so this one was a no brainer for me. Three women with secrets, trauma and drama band together to uncover a scandal and this was pretty juicy. The women were very sympathetic characters that I enjoyed spending time with and Jesse Vilinsky is a phenomenal narrator.
I cannot tell you how rare it is for me to read an author and think, damn their books truly get better every time but friends, that’s what happens each time I read a Catherine Cowles book. This series is so special, I think it’s the found family piece that really tugs at my heart because the Colson crew has really been through it. Finding out more about both Cope and Sutton’s histories made me love them even more than I did previously and his unconditional and unwavering love for her and Luca was so so sweet. Sutton is so fierce and passionate and she’s the best mom and the way Cope created a family with them was beautiful. The author also always manages to stump me when it comes to the suspense aspect and she did it again here with an extra emotional layer that about broke me. If you like romance in general she’s one of the best but if you specifically like small town, single parent, suspense, hockey, a baker heroine and more this was amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Nadia and Matt are on the brink of losing everything when she gets a job offer that can change it all for the better. There is a catch though, but that’s all you need to know. This was a super quick read, definitely short enough you can read it in one sitting which was exactly what I did. It’s a lighter style of suspense with lots of twisty reveals and secrets and was engaging enough for me to be entertained. My first from the author but next time I want a quick domestic suspense I’m gonna try her backlist for sure!
I really liked the premise here, the idea that Anna’s kids would be arranging dates for her was so cute and charming! The dates she goes on are equal parts sweet and awkward and there were many moments of hilarity. Seeing Anna find herself after her divorce was uplifting and hopeful and this one was just a delight! Kerry Gilbert was the ideal narrator and embodied Anna perfectly
This was a really sweet read, exactly what I expect from a small town romance. Chloe was the kind of character I wanted to hug, poor girl deserved the world and had been through hell and it was adorable seeing her find happiness with Mason and Abby. Theresa a dash of suspense that added some danger to an otherwise cute story and while it was my first book by the author it won’t be my last!
This is such a guilty pleasure series for me, the true definition of popcorn thrillers and it was so much fun to be back in the world the author created again! This series is best read in order, you should at least read the previous book as that’s when we are first introduced to the main character here, Cecelia. Things pick up awhile after the last book ends and Cecelia hires a new nanny, Lizzie to help with her baby daughter. As always this was filled with unlikable characters, (the kind you love to hate) lots of twisty surprises, and juicy secrets and betrayals. It’s over the top and you may need to suspend some disbelief but it was a blast and a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
After the cliffhanger in the previous book I was dying for this one it did not disappoint! As emotional as the last book was this was even more heartbreaking, things were intense and I’m even more obsessed with Lettie and Tomer than I was before (somehow) The character development is top notch, the suspense aspect is insane and the banter and dialogue is witty and hilarious. I adore this series I need the next book asap. No one could deliver better emotional and meaningful performance than Kelsey and Aaron SO good!
This was absolutely adorable and I loved the London setting during the holidays. It had a perfect balance between sweet and warm moments and some steamy scenes towards the end making it a perfect read for me. Both narrators were amazing and a delight to listen to!
