I’ve never read a book with professional water skiers before but surprisingly, I was super interested in that aspect. Sadie and Willa have a toxic frenemies relationship and nothing fascinates me more, like will they support each other or sabotage each other? That was the fun of this one for me, I never quite knew what would happen between them but I was totally invested in them as well as Baz, Sadie’s husband. He provided an interesting angle to an already complicated story and I was here for it. You slowly find out about the characters relationship histories as this flips back and forth between past and present and it felt like a bit of a slow burn up until an intense and shocking ending. My first book from the author but definitely not my last, a really engaging and character driven mystery I liked.

This is one of the better thrillers I’ve read lately, I had the best time reading it. It was batshit, unhinged and a total popcorn thriller that held my attention the entire time. I was totally engrossed and read it in a sitting, once I started I couldn’t stop. Knowing Sloane is an admitted liar made things fun, sometimes she would admit things were a lie but never trusting her added an extra layer of deception that was delicious. You will need to suspend disbelief, there are plenty of coincidences and things working out just so, but that usually doesn’t bother me and it sure didn’t here, again it was too fun! As captivated as I was things really take off in the last half and the ending was explosive and wild. If you like domestic thrillers with lots of insanity and plenty of twists I freaking loved this one and think you will too

This one was cute and I’m a sucker for any book set in London. Lucy is the sweetest heroine, at the beginning she is such a pushover but she goes through a ton of character growth by the end and it was so nice to see her blossom. Felix was bossy and overprotective with her, but knowing it came from a place of deep caring made it tolerable. It also didn’t hurt that Shane East does the best growly and grumpy narration, he’s damn good! This was narrated in duet style, I need every romance book to be this way pls and thank you and Zara Hampton-Brown played the role of Lucy to perfection as well! Overall just a sweet and spicy listen I really liked

This was an absolute blast and filled with sarcastic humor and wit, an engaging central mystery, an amateur sleuth and a compelling overall story. While Florence wasn’t likable in the slightest there was something refreshing about the way she was unapologetically herself. She did annoy me at times, but then at others she made me laugh so there was some balance there. I loved her relationship with Jenny and thought they made an entertaining, if unlikely duo. The whole thing was wild and definitely requires the suspension of disbelief but I just had a good time with it and was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t fully figure out what happened to Alfie before Florence did. If snarky humor and flawed characters are your thing try this!

As much as this seems like it could be a classic missing persons story it’s actually much more about Kim and Grant’s relationship and how it’s evolved over the years. They are unconventional in the way they have never married but have been together for thirty years and they also spend lots of time apart. When they get an opportunity to spend the winter in Palm Springs many of their issues and traumas are forced into the light and they must examine their lives closely. I thought the author did a really great job at exploring middle aged issues and struggles and even though I’m a bit younger than Kim and Grant, I could relate to many of their woes. As much as this is a deep dive into their relationship, both past and present there is also a really delightful cast of supporting characters who brought levity to the story. I really enjoyed my time with this one and recommend it to anyone who likes family dramas and a light mystery.

This was a really engaging family drama with plenty of high and lows for the MC, Lila and her family. All of the characters were pretty likable and relatable in some manner and I loved following along with their lives so much! The narrator was lovely and portrayed Lila so perfectly

I love when a book takes a seemingly mundane situation and adds a twist to it and that’s exactly what the author did here. Getting a new roommate shouldn’t be dangerous but it is when Emily allows Pip into her home. Forget the danger, the thought of someone being at my house and never leaving sounds like my worst nightmare as an introvert and I felt so awful for Emily. Yes, she was a little frustrating at times, her decision making skills were lacking and I don’t think I agreed with her choices one time, but no one deserves what Pip put her through. I don’t want to go further into the plot because this developed in ways I didn’t see coming and I love a good surprise. If you like unsettling books with unlikable characters and fast pacing try this!

This was sooo cute, def more on the cheesy thing so fyi if that bugs you but I thought it was really fun. I love the author and always enjoy her books and her writing style and while this wasn’t her best (for me) it was still worthwhile for me. If you like a little magic in your romance you may like this and the narrator is always so enjoyable to listen to.

I’ve enjoyed the authors prior books and this one sounded totally up my alley and it mostly was. I loved the look at the dark side of fame and the academy setting, but it was an odd one and I don’t think it will be for everyone. The end is where it lost me, things got a little silly and the ending was abrupt but Brittany Pressley and Xe Sands are both amazing and kept me engaged despite some minor issues.
