The queen of the slow burn is back with another heart wrenching and gorgeous romance. I was obsessed with the authors last book and had super high expectations for this one and my expectations were exceeded. I knew going into this there were heavy themes and it would be sad, so I was prepared but this did break my heart. It was slowly and surely put back together though and so worth it but man does the author write about grief in a poignant and absolutely gutting manner. Lenny was an absolute disaster at the beginning of the book, such an accurate portrayal of grief and Miles was the most patient man on the planet with her. Their relationship was the softest and most tender slow burn but it was also so funny, they had amazing banter and their friendship was beautiful as well. When you are in the mood for an emotional, character driven, swoony, beautiful romance this is a must!

Ahh this one was so so good, definitely one of the best thrillers I’ve read lately! It’s a long one and normally I don’t have patience for that but there was so much going on here the length didn’t even bother me. I absolutely loved the way it was told, Jane is speaking directly to the reader and I love that type of intimacy, it gives the impression you’re listening to a friend tell the story. She’s recounting events that began a year ago and not knowing exactly what she’s referring to in the beginning made things so tense and exciting, a real sense of anticipation knowing whatever happened must’ve been major. It is a slow burn with a lot going on but I never lost interest, I was truly captivated by the entire thing. It’s a big puzzle with a ton pieces and while I had my suspicions before things were revealed, I wasn’t bothered by that because the whole thing was just so engaging. If you like true crime, intricately plotted mysteries, amateur sleuths and meaty thrillers try this, I loved it!

I was lucky enough to have option when I started this so I initially started the print but then switched to audio and stayed for the narrators because if you haven’t had the experience of Zara Hampton-Brown and Shane East together you’re missing out. Seriously, they’re one of my favorite combos because they bring the heat, the emotion, the angst and the banter. Perfection. I’ll stop rambling but the audio is 🤌🏻💋 and this book is as well. Beth and Callan have so much chemistry right from the beginning and their love story was spicy, charming and sweet. Their fire and passion was excellent and translated well in every situation. 😉 It also had a ton of depth and heart, there was excellent mental health rep throughout the book and the author handled these issues with care and grace. Such an exciting start to a new series, I’m already totally invested and can’t wait to see where it goes.

The author has a new book and to absolutely no one’s surprise I’m obsessed with it. The premise is so engaging, the characters are really well drawn, and the plot is twisty and tense. Could not ask for anything more! Sami was such a relatable and enjoyable character with the authors trademark humor and wit shining through, I swear he’s one of the only thriller authors who I know will make me laugh and it breaks up some of the heavier stuff, so it’s always appreciated. This was yet another fresh feeling mystery with plenty of big reveals and the last page made me hopeful we will get another book in the series?! 🤞🏻I don’t think it’s wholly necessary to read the first book before this one, but then again he never misses so maybe you should. The next time you want a page turner chock full of suspense and intrigue try this, so so good!

I loved the first book in this series but I loved this even more and that’s probably because small town romance may be my first love, but romantic suspense is my second and that aspect was SO good here! Add in a single mom and I had everything I needed and more. Miles is down bad for Penelope almost right away and the balance of him being so open about how he felt and her being guarded was perfect. Miles has the sweetest bond with her son, Kai and I couldn’t get enough of all three of them. The audio was amazing, the narrators are two of my top favorites and they brought all the emotion to this swoony story. I need book three asap after seeing the little hints of what’s to come, gimme but overall another fantastic read from one of my fave romance authors

I love a juicy suburban domestic thriller and I love it even more when it’s set in a ritzy neighborhood. There’s something about seeing behind closed doors that appeals to my nosy side and there were so many secrets in the cul de sac that these families lived on. This follows three couples, Aimee and Scott, Gwen and Anton and Lisa and Marcus and these six do everything together. With so many characters there were a lot of subplots besides the main murder mystery, but they were laid out clearly and I was never confused. Each character had distinct characteristics to make them easy to distinguish and while many of them were terrible, a couple weren’t so there were people to root for still. Besides, I enjoy reading about messy rich people with horrible habits so this was fun. While there were lots of twists and turns along the way the ending was the best part for me, a really solid and shocking final few pages. Definitely recommended if you like domestic thrillers with dark secrets and betrayals.

This one was SO much fun and reminded me of older British chick lit with a heroine in her forties. As a woman in my forties with teenagers much of this was relatable and soo funny for me. I found myself nodding my head and laughing quite a bit and the humor was exactly my style. I’m a sucker for a narrator with an accent so I was all in here! Next time you want a realistic and flawed heroine try this, such a fun listen

This was cute and perfect if you want a kind of nerdy romance, and I mean that as a compliment. There were a lot of sci fi references that went over my head but there were also plenty of pop culture refs that I got (lol) and the banter between the leads was great. Overall an easy and charming listen with two fantastic narrators

I knew after book one in this series that Raven and Otto would have a hot and explosive relationship and I was soo right! The author really brought both the heat and the angst with this one and there was so much going on emotionally as well. Finding out more details about both their pasts really broke my heart, it was seriously sad but it made their HEA all the sweeter in the end. The suspense was really solid as well, some of the things that happen throughout the book was truly scary and heightened an already emotionally charged situation. I alternated between audio and print but the audio won out in the end, the narrators are just too good and really gave it their all to portray Otto and Raven. I’m so glad there are still more books left in the series, I’m becoming attached to the characters and can’t wait to see what happens next but in the meantime if you haven’t read this book or the first both were great, especially if you enjoy angsty, small town romance with some tense suspense.

This is only the second book I’ve read by the author and I am so obsessed with her! She really has a knack for combining sexy and fun moments with emotional and angsty ones, and I think that can be a tricky balancing act but she pulls it off so well. I don’t want to say too much, but since this is such an emotional story between Aubrey and Caleb I think picking the appropriate narrators must have been difficult. Andi Arndt and Sean Masters really nailed Aubrey and Caleb though, Andi’s pure and sweet voice was Aubrey in a nutshell and Sean’s growly timbre gave me chills at times. I really loved this story of second chances, fresh starts, loss, love and finding home and family so much! The author is going on my auto buy list now for sure
