The fact that an epic dragon fantasy book with a physically limited main character exists is beyond amazing. The fact that the book is epic and well written and solidified itself in my top ten reads of all time before I even made it to the last page? Absolute perfection.

There are so many things I would love to tell you about this book, but I'm not one to spoil it. Here's what I will say:
-Our heroine is physically challenged in that she is definitely more breakable than most, but she doesn't let that stop or hinder her, but rather finds different ways to solve the same problems that everyone faces. She doesn't magically get better, instead she has to think her way through every problem she has faced and has to deal with pain all the time. (Something I am very familiar with and thus it makes me love her even more!)

Please for the love of dragons read this book...it is epic and full of so much representation that doesn't get talked about often enough in fantasy

Be prepared. This book is a Smut Shifter Sandwich. The first 30% is bully smut and then the story gets good and then we end with the last 20% also being smut. Pretty good story, but the spice level is way high...chapters upon chapters of smut.

Grumpy-sunshine trope where they both have scarred pasta and struggle through a fake engagement, but both end up falling for each other...hard. Cute and funny

I went in thinking this was just another hockey romance, but believe me...it is not. If you love dark romances and hockey romances, well the news is good for you...this book combines both into one wild read. I loved it, even though it caught me by surprise! I have never read a hockey romance with a MMC as morally grey as this before and it made it all the more interesting

I got bored really quick with this one...the psycho killer obsessed-with-her  fae was cool but the other guy fell flat and half way through we hadn't even heard of the other guy yet. I just couldn't force myself to finish it when there are other more exciting books to read
