I really liked the first two books in the trilogy, but the third one let me down and it became hard to push through because I was not really into it. Plus there is a surprise pregnancy trope in book 3 that I was not ready for (definitely not my thing). The ending was kinda a let down. Loved the first one though!
It started out so good! The first book was great! The second was good. But this third book...with the surprise pregnancy trope? Not so much. I had so much trouble getting through it because of that...and the end seemed very anticlimactic compared to how much hype there was in the first and second book. Sigh.

I DNF'd at 30% (in the middle of chapter 16) because it was just...not my thing.
This book is basically a cop show written in a vampire/werewolf world but the FMC has recently gone through a bad sexual assault. She's back at work, after the incident, and even though she's in therapy, everything her new boss does/says seems to trigger a panic attack (apparently her previous alpha attacked her and it was bad). It's pretty heavy for it being the first part of the book and tbh, I just don't like the feeling of reading through emotional molasses right from the start.

Sorry, but I only made it 15% of the way through this book before I DNF'd it. I just couldn't get past the eye rolls at not only her age but the ridiculous start to the story. I had high hopes, but it's just not for me.
